Adding to the 13 new players we saw in last Saturdays opening pre season fixture, there’s another four new players pulling on Blue&Blue in this week’s 1XV squad to face Kent Club Medway RFC.
Unfortunately Medway were unable to field a 2XV for this week so it will be a slightly longer game time for this week’s format with 5 x 20 minute blocks.

As we continue through our 2026 pre season fixtures, we felt it a good time to mention a few players who have decided to call it time as players at Eton Manor.
None come bigger than last seasons starting 9&10 partnership of Michael Sargent (Sitchy) & Lloyd Davies. Although we have retained Sitchy as one of our Head Coaches, his sheer tenacity, precision passing, thumping defence & playing Rugby on the front foot will be sorely missed.
Joining Eton Manor in 2022, he was part of a group of four players that came to us from Hertford RFC; Lloyd Davies, Ollie Cain & Conran Edgar being the other three. Sitchy took the 1XV reigns at scrum half where his leadership skills immediately shone through. He was elevated to joint Player - Head Coach with Jesse Liston in 2023, where they quickly applied their ideas & framework to our Rugby & hammered in a structure which enabled us to become League Runners Up over three consecutive seasons, inc becoming the highest points scorers in England RFU in 24/25, to ultimately then become London Division Reg 2 Anglia League Champions in 2025/26.
Lloyd Davies was a stalwart of a player for our club, despite some difficult life events, he still managed to train & play regularly for our club, guiding our 1XV in securing wins that in previous seasons we would have lost. A trusted left boot & a honest Yorkshire grittiness to his game, like Sitchy, Lloyd was another player who just stood firm no matter what the opposition threw at him.
Lloyd has stood down to spend more time with his young family, & we wish him well in his future plans.
These two players have been pivotal in changing our clubs pathway & proved their worth to us time after time. They will always be Manor Boys & forever welcome at Nutter Lane.
