I’m not about to pretend that even now I’m only eating half a chocolate bar and putting the rest away. Because I’m not a psycho.

BUT since I stopped dieting, I’ve got to admit I (kind of) get it now.

Because doing that, just like having biscuits in the house and forgetting they’re there, or saying no to a Friday night glass of wine just because you don’t fancy one (rather than because you’re being good) has got nothing to do with discipline.

And everything to do with trust.

For so many of us living in “diet land”, our sense of trust and connection with our body has been outsourced to calorie counts and willpower.

And we feel like without those things to keep us “on track” we might as well just give up and buy the new 3 sizes bigger wardrobe right now.

But what if I told you that there’s actually a simple switch, which takes you from “I cannot have anything sweet in the house” to “I totally forgot I even bought that chocolate”?

Well there is - and it’s called React to Respond.

In other words, right now your relationship with food is built on well worn reactions that mean your rational brain doesn’t even get a look in. Cue the Friday night binge, “f**k it I’ll start again on Monday” and the endless loop of hope followed by despair and back again.

Instead, I’m about to help you discover how to RESPOND - so food stops being an emotional crutch just waiting to trip you up. And becomes a place where you feel like you’re actively making the best choices for you.

So you can get off the diet rollercoaster and finally start to trust yourself around food.

We’re doing exactly this inside Ditch the Diets - 3 days of live coaching to start your journey to food freedom (without giving up on yourself). Doors open next week, and if you want to be first in

She complained about her weight, ate a different meal the family and took a weekly trip to Weight Watchers.

In fact, she even started taking you when you were 13 to deal with that “puppy fat”.

So you told yourself “I never want my own kids to experience what I did” - knowing full well that seeing your own Mum go through that? It’s one of the things that set you off on the diet rollercoaster you’re on to this very day.

So instead, you do it covertly.

🍰 You make damn sure you never say negative things about your body while they’re in earshot.

🥗 At dinner, you don’t say you’re dieting - you just “don’t feel like” having pasta today.

🍫 And you’re well versed in making jokes about “mummy’s squishy tummy” to hide what you really feel.

But the pattern doesn’t get broken because you keep silent about it (while secretly hoping the next diet will finally solve everything).

It gets broken because you start seeing the patterns that sit underneath the reactive decisions you’re making about food every single day.

If you’re ready to walk your talk and walk away from diets for good - while learning to make better choices around nutrition (because you’re actually able to hear what you’re body’s been trying to tell you), then join me inside Ditch the Diets.

Doors will open next week and spaces are limited, so get your name on the waitlist by DM’ing or commenting WAITLIST and I’ll make sure you’re first to know.

The maths works and you know it - if you consistently use more energy than you consume, you’ll lose weight.

That’s biology (and no, menopause doesn’t magically cancel all the laws of science).

But here’s what the “no excuses” gymbros and fake AI fitfluencers aren’t telling you.

You’re not a lab experiment. And you don’t live in a vacuum. You’re a woman with a history.

👉 You lived through “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”

👉 You had relatives giving you unsolicited advice about your body when you were 11

👉 You watched your Mum go to Weight Watchers and hate her body her entire life

Which makes your relationship with food and your body really fu***ng complex.

So when someone reduces it to a simple equation, what you actually hear is: “I’m doing it all wrong”.

And you keep trying to solve emotional reactions with scientific formulas.

Which is never going to feel peaceful.

The bit where this changes is actually hidden in the reactive (and unconscious) decisions you’re making around food every day.

And once you understand the well worn decision short cuts that your brain has created - and you learn to decode and re-programme them - you can start responding differently. And build a new, more peaceful relationship with food.

This is what we’ll be doing inside Ditch the Diets. I’ll be opening doors again next week - and if you want to be first in the know for the limited spaces, just comment or DM “WAITLIST” and I’ll get you on the list.

Gotta love the summer and the freedom to eat that comes with it. Not only is life feeling that much more relaxed, but you’ve earned a bit of time off.

Until you land back in the “real world” in September and realise your jeans are definitely not fitting like they were when you last put them on in May.

= Panic stations 🚨

But before you go there, here’s what I’d tell you NOT to do if you were a client:

🥗 Jump straight into a diet - because it just becomes the precursor to a Christmas binge, an easter binge, a Summer ’27 binge (plus, if you’re honest, all the weekend binges in between). And that feeling of always being on the back foot and fighting to get back into your jeans. Again.

😢 Be super mean to yourself - I mean, I’ve definitely been there, telling myself how weak willed I am for letting myself off the hook for the entire summer. But in my experience, all that beating yourself up achieves is you feeling s**t about yourself.

🏃‍♀️ Sign up to a brutal 6-days a week fitness reboot programme - tempting I know, but honestly, how soon before you start convincing yourself to just miss a workout, then another, then another? Cue - discipline related crisis, and you looping back to “super mean”.

If this has been your September reality for as long as you can remember, then doing all this, and trying to lock in even harder isn’t magically going to start working now.

What is going to shift the needle is creating a new relationship with your body.

One where you can actually listen to what your body needs, start from a place of peace and build a routine (and a mindset) that means that by Christmas you simply move into maintenance mode, rather than “gain and lose the exact same 7lbs” mode.

It doesn’t mean you can’t lose weight. It doesn’t mean you can’t change your body. It just means that when you do it the ups and downs disappear.

And you can finally trust that you’re not going to f*ck it up the next opportunity you get.

Want to work with me to make that happen? I’ve got a few slots inside my 1:1 programme - THE BODY YOU’LL LOVE LIVING IN.

Just DM or comment BODY and I’ll send you the details.

As I always say, emotional eating is actually a GOOD thing (there is method to my madness - promise).

Because when you’re feeling stressed, tired, overwhelmed, frustrated and then you get home and reach straight for the Oreos you definitely bought for the kids 😉 it’s actually a sign that your body is doing something to regain its sense of equilibrium. In other words, your nervous system is functioning exactly as it’s meant to.

Problem is that every time you do that what you’re actually doing is trying to override or get rid of an emotion. AND you’re using a tool that makes you feel s**t 30 minutes later.

Because as far as you’re concerned - negative emotion = bad.

And the sooner you can be rid of it and enveloped in an Oreo scented comfort blanket the better.

Which is also why you keep doing it. However much willpower you try and engage.

Thing is, emotional eating doesn’t get better because you get better at getting rid of emotions.

It gets better because you learn to actually live WITH them.

In other words, learning to recognise emotions, sit with them and observe them is actually the skill that will make the biggest difference.

Once emotions lose some of their power over you, so does emotional and comfort eating.

And I’ve totally got you covered on this with COMFORT EATING DECODED - where we’ll help you decode those comfort and emotional eating signals, so you can get back into the drivers seat and stop every tough day turning into an Oreo or 5.

It’s totally free - but you can also upgrade your experience with the Comfort Eating Toolkit for just £7 right now. Giving you the exact tools I give to my coaching clients to deal with comfort eating in-the-moment.

Losing weight feels like it has to be hard. A process that involves sacrifice, cutting out some of your favourite foods and using ALL the willpower.

But when I decided I wanted to lose some fat (and gain some muscle) this year I did it with a few caveats.

And one of them was that I had to still get joy from food.

Because after committing to making peace with my body and finding freedom around food, the last thing I wanted was to un-do all that hard work. Or take myself back to who I used to be when restriction was just the way I thought it had to be.

So sure, I’ve tracked my calories (around 2000 per day by the way - so I’m never hungry!) and stayed on top of my protein intake. But I’ve also refused to compromise on enjoyment around food…the minute that goes out of the window, I know my motivation won’t be far behind.

And it’s actually by including things like chocolate 🍫 every single day that I’ve been able to do this my way.

Still enjoying food. Still feeling full and satisfied. And being in a position where I can still keep up the momentum 7 months in without feeling like I’m restricting or missing out at all.

Finding food freedom and making peace with yourself as you are now isn’t about never being able to change again. Or never being able to track another calorie and lose the lbs.

It’s simply about switching the mindset. So that instead of running away from a body that you hate, and using tools that make you feel miserable (not to mention keeping you trapped in the diet loop for decades), you get to do it in a way that feels good for you.

It’s about getting the results without the obsession. And chasing your desires instead of your tail.

No matter how many times you swore you’d “skip the bread at lunchtime” on holiday, by day 3 you’re ordering cocktails and a burger and deciding that you’ll get ChatGPT to create your post-holiday plan when you get home.

And it’s easy to blame the holiday for “holidaying”, and then feeling like s**t when you try and get your jeans on once you get home. But let’s get honest:

❌ This isn’t because willpower just happens to go out the window as soon as you’re at the airport

❌ It’s not because the all inclusive buffet is just too tempting

❌ And it’s not because you just need a better strategy for your next holiday

It’s a restriction rebound. A nervous system backlash after months of tracking, judging your body harshly and negotiating with your hunger just to “earn” a couple of weeks off.

The holiday doesn’t cause the spiral. It just reveals the cracks.

But the version of you that doesn’t have to fix yourself before every holiday, and who can still make mindful choices while you’re there (while fully enjoying the cocktail selection too) isn’t earning 2 weeks off.

You’ve actually sorted out what happens the other 50 weeks of the year instead.

Not by trying harder.
But by learning to stop gaslighting your body and ignoring what it actually needs.

So you can stop veering between “screw it” and the shame spiral that follows.

The holiday pattern is just the comfort eating pattern on steroids…and if you want to use some of your holiday to learn exactly why this keeps happening - and how to catch the urge before it catches you out, you can get hold of COMFORT EATING DECODED for FREE right now.

DM or comment DECODE and I’ll sent it over.

Listen on the sunlounger and come home with a brand new perspective (and a brand new tool) to nip those future comfort eating moments in the bud.

Wanting to feel more peaceful around food and your body is a given. Literally no-one has ever said “you know I’d really prefer to keep hating my body for the rest of my life.”

So what’s actually putting you off making peace with it?

It’s the fear that one of two things will happen:

👉 You’ll never experience the weight loss or the body that you’ve been chasing for so long
👉 And/or you’ll have the exact permission you need to eat ALL the things, put a tonne of weight on, and end up feeling even worse than you do now

And that’s exactly why we resist learning to be okay with ourselves exactly as we are - NOW.

But here’s where I disagree.

Making peace isn’t something that stands between you and change. It might be the very thing that’s been missing.

Because right now, all your energy is going towards what you don’t want - the daily weigh in crisis, the 1200 calorie days that have you hangry by 3pm and the guilt spiral every time you “mess up”.

Making peace actually redirects that energy towards:

✅ Getting curious about how you can talk to yourself differently, instead of just talking yourself down
✅ Focusing on what actually supports you, not what punishes you
✅ Moving towards the things you actually desire - instead of running away from what you’re scared of

And that shift changes everything. Because now you’re not the woman fighting for peace once she’s achieved the ideal body. You’re the woman already living in peace, and making better decisions because of it.

This is exactly what we do inside The Body You’ll Love Living In. Not finding peace without making any progress - but actually creating more peace exactly so you CAN finally make progress towards the relationship with your body that you want.
