Weโ€™ve just finished a couple of boats and weโ€™re already half way through a batch of oars. Weโ€™ve done sleeves, collars, handles, and even managed a snapped loom. Weโ€™ve now progressed on to painting, and you can start to see some lovely blades. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Dare I say it, that might be another boat good for the river. Jez will be back at Warrington Saturday morning in time for the morning sessions โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Very nearly there with Jez. Only beaten by the mosquitoes today as we approach the final stretch. Looking forward to having another boat ticked off โœ…

Day two and first puncture repaired and drying off in the evening sun. This one was a pleasure to do, and behaved like itโ€™s supposed to. The second one on the other hand is being a brat, and putting up a fightโ€ฆ

End of day one in Southport, and weโ€™ve covered a lot of ground. Internal skin, and two external skins down. Itโ€™s took a full day at it, but should hopefully ready to start moving onto paint in the morning ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Today weโ€™ve run out to Southport to get one of the clubs fours back on the water after picking up storm damage earlier in the year. Two reasonably sized impacts to the hull with one going straight through means we have a busy wkend. Weโ€™re looking forward to seeing the end result. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

All skins down and what should be a nice watertight single. Next job up is paint prep, and our Hudson should start to feel much more like itโ€™s super self again ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

This afternoons exercise, exploring anything that might be causing our little friend issues on the water. Considering the volume of water that was inside the boat there was no gaping holes which one might have suspected.

A few hairline cracks and one small puncture, itโ€™s likely to have been a combination of the three proving too much to handle.

Next, we will be patching him up and begining the fairing process ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Next boat up for some TLC is a Hudson single taking on lots of water with a few suspect areas including the fin area. We will be stripping it back, drying him out and making him water tight again.
