Culcheth Eagles Girls RL

We started the season still playing in Union mode, but quickly found our feet with some brilliant performances and built a reputation as a strong, physical team.

Alongside our Premier Division fixtures, we also played plenty of development matches, giving players valuable time on the ball to push themselves, grow in confidence and prepare for Prem rugby.
That development really came into its own towards the end of the season. With injuries and holidays ruling out a fair few of our spine and more experienced players, the girls who had been working hard in those development fixtures stepped up, and what an improvement we’ve seen in them since the beginning of the season! 👏

Despite dropping points in our final two games, we finish the league campaign 3rd in the Premier Division.

Now the hard work begins on the training pitch as we prepare for the play-off semi-final against Dewsbury Moor.
It’s set to be a tight and hard-fought contest, with both sides taking a win against each other during the season.

Whatever happens, it’s been a fantastic season for the entire squad.
