Last but not least, our Young Player of the Season award goes to Laila!

One of the youngest players in the squad, Laila consistently performs at a level beyond her years. She's become one of our go-to starters and has produced outstanding performances week after week in defence, earning multiple Player of the Match awards along the way.

It's been brilliant to see her confidence grow throughout the season. She's come out of her shell more and more, continued to develop her game, and has never stopped looking to improve. She's fully commitment, trains consistently, puts in the effort, and always gives everything for the team.

Off the pitch, Laila plays a huge role in bringing the squad together. She's caring, makes sure to include others and just always brings great, positive vibes.

When you consider that many of her teammates have years more football experience than her, yet she continues to perform at such a high level week in, week out, it tells you everything you need to know about her quality and potential.

Keep smashing it, Laila! ⚽️

Next up we have Player of the Year going to Katie!

Also voted the team's hardest working on awards night, Katie has been a true grafter all season. Whether in training or on matchdays, she's given 100% every single time and has been one of the most consistent performers in the squad. She sets high standards for herself and expects the same commitment from those around her, helping drive the team forward.

Her passion is unmatched, and she has constantly pushed herself to improve and perform throughout the season. Having played in multiple positions over the past year, Katie has made an impact wherever she's been needed. She's the kind of player you always want on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.

A fantastic communicator, a great teammate, and a natural leader, Katie leads by example in ways she probably doesn't even realise.

You've been class all season, Katie. Congratulations! 💙

First up, we have both the Top Goalscorer and Players’ Player of the Year awards going to Beth!

A crucial player for us this season, Beth was a constant threat down the right wing. Time and time again, she beat defenders one-on-one with her pace, got herself into dangerous positions, and finished the season with a great goal tally (she also contributed plenty of assists too).

Her teammates recognised the impact she's had the season by voting her Players’ Player of the Year. Her hard work, positive attitude, and commitment to the team doesn't go unnoticed. She's a great teammate, and is just really really good at footy.

Last weekend we had our presentation evening where we came together and reflected on a challenging, but promising season for us as a team.

Entering Division 1 of the LWYFL was a bit of a gamble for us, and we were unsure about how competitive we would be. The standards were high and although difficult, we had some very competitive games taking home multiple wins and drawing on a couple of occasions. As the season came to a close we narrowly missed out on a playoff spot, and the progression the team made over the season was evident.

Thank you to everyone involved in the team and club that have helped us this season, and an extra special thank you to the gaffer Holly Evans for all of the time and effort you've put in this season, a lot of it behind the scenes.

We're really excited and optimistic for next season and what's to come for this amazing group of girls 💪🔵

Player of the Match 🏆

Player of the Match for last weekend’s game against Rainford goes to Amy!

Amy delivered an outstanding all-round performance, showing great strength in defence and making several crucial recovery runs to stop balls played in behind. She kept the opposition out of the box, forcing them into long-range efforts and pushing their attacks down the wings. On top of her defensive work, she contributed well going forward, put in a great effort throughout the game, and communicated brilliantly with the team.

Recent Results ⚽️

FC Community of Liverpool put a stop to our winning ways at the end of February. We had a really dominant first half, but our concentration slipped in the second, resulting in a frustrating half for us and a disappointing result that we knew could have been much better.

Last weekend’s tie against Rainford was a very competitive game. The girls played well, but ultimately we couldn’t finish our chances. A late penalty for Rainford saw them go one up, and with us gambling to find an equaliser, they bagged another just before the final whistle.

Some difficult results to take, but the team are making progress, which is good to see 🔵
