Football is Back….
A good game of football yesterday versus a very good disciplined and technical South Shields team.
Whilst the result didn’t go our way, we have to remember where we have started from. We are a brand-new team, with a new identity to build, integrating 2 new coaches, 7 new players, 3 of whom have never played youth football before. It was never going to be easy!
The boys gave a brilliant account of themselves yesterday and we’ve come up against a team that have played together for a while and know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and the boys shouldn’t be too downhearted.
We played some good stuff, when we slowed it down, took a touch, got our heads up and relaxed on the ball. We go in to training this week with a few things to work on
