Whitworth Football club U15 Girls Keeper wanted🧤

With our season having just kicked off and a great start to the season we are still looking to add a couple of players. Years 9 & 10

An experienced Goalkeeper Wanted for our Div 1 side playing Saturday mornings in the Bedfordshire Girls league of 2 divisions and 23 teams of which a is competitive league and great place to develop.

A great bunch of welcoming girls and parents with training Mondays 7pm - 8.30pm on Astro turf under the lights and a second session Fridays with indoor futsal 7pm - 8pm with both sessions taking place in Wellingborough. Second session is not mandatory every week but great for there development.

We would like to hear from you if your daughter is an experienced Goalkeeper wanting to join a side with well structured training sessions and dedicated goalkeeper coaching.

🚨🚨 Match Report 🚨🚨

Whitworth 2 - 4 Kettering Reds

Our first home game of the season, as we welcomed Kettering Reds, a team who were division 1 last year, so we knew today’s game would be a challenge.

First half wasn’t our best performance, and we left the field 3-0 down and the half time talk was needed.

The girls took on board what was said and Summer got us off the mark with a deflected shot. The defence held there line better and we started playing some better football. Summer then got another goal, 3-2, game on.

The girls kept pushing but just couldn’t get the break through and with the last kick of the game, Kettering made it 4-2.

Not the result we wanted after a exceptional first game but we go to training this week with lots to work on and full of hope that when we host again on the 26th we get back to winning ways.

Supporters player of the match was Savannah and coaches player of the match was Summer.

Onwards and upwards….. WHITWORTH! 🔴⚫️⚽️

🚨🚨 Match Report 🚨🚨

Wollaston Victoria 1 - 10 Whitworth

Well here we go sports fans, the day we’ve all been waiting for… 26/27 season has arrived and what a performance from the girls to kick us off! 🙌

We headed out locally to take on the newly formed Wollaston team away, at their place. Sun was shining, pitch lines were fresh and the girls were buzzing to get going.

Every single girl today played excellently, they all did their jobs and worked hard for each other both defensively and in attack.

The girls were ruthless in front of goal today, Summer scored 4 and Amelie, Evie and Ciara all getting 2 goals each 🥳🤩

Parents player of the match was awarded to Ciara, who played brilliantly, especially in the second half after a pep talk.

Coaches award this week was to Lizzy, who joined us this season with no experience at all, but she got stuck in and played her part on the pitch today. We’re excited to see her grow in confidence as she eases her way in.

Big thanks to Wollaston, who battled hard and didn’t let their heads drop and I’m sure they’ll come good, as the get more game time experience this season, we wish them good luck and look forward to welcoming them to Victoria Mill Ground later in the season

A minutes silence was held at the start of the match to respect the passing of Max recently 🙏🏽

⚽️ PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY ⚽️

A great pre-season test tonight against Blisworth, who play in the division above us! 💪🖤❤️

With our usual goalkeeper Eden unable to play this week, Evie stepped into goal and did a fab job, pulling off some cracking saves! 🧤👏

The girls battled hard against a very skilful Blisworth side, and Amelie found the back of the net in the first half to put us 1–0 up! ⚽️🔥

Sadly, the result didn’t quite go our way, with Blisworth coming back to take the win 2-1. But what a great effort from every single girl! ❤️🖤

🌟 Special mention to Lizzy, who played her first game for us tonight — welcome to the team! 👏⚽️

Pre-season friendlies are all about learning, developing and putting things into practice — and tonight gave us plenty to take away! 💪
