I’m very proud to announce all the remaining 6 trainees from Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were voted in by the committee last night to become Full Team Members. Almost 18 months of training and we are all ready for full operational deployment.

When the OPs Officer shook my hand today at work I had no idea and almost burst into tears, it means that much to be part of the teams amazing history and dedication to Lancashire.

We will hopefully be ‘badged’ at the AGM in April and finally get to wear the coveted red jacket.

The Mammut Trion 15 has just arrived. This is the pack I will be using when I attempt the Enduro282 in Aug 2027, a non stop round of all the Scottish Munros.

Unlike the 25kg bergan I carried during the Enduro214 this will be fast and light with the pack at less than 5kg!!!! If you want to know what I will be carrying to stay safe during this solo challenge drop me a message.
