Find me at Farnham Maltings celebrating 30th Festival of Crafts on the 10th & 11th October 10am - 4pm each day.

I will be showcasing my currently collection of Vine & Leaves and my botanical glass work too.

From Monday 5th October my prices are going up and I wanted to tell you why. For a long time I haven't paid myself properly for the hours at the bench, growing the flowers, drying, not to mention marketing, photography, packing and all the little jobs that a small business owner does. Alongside the change, every chain is now 100% recycled sterling silver and my packaging is recycled & made in Britain.

I'm delighted that I will be joining next weekend 10th & 11th October to showcase my botanical work for celebrating their 30th anniversary, festival of crafts!

You will be able to find me in the Barley Room with a collection of real flowers encapsulated in glass, perfect for those that love flowers or need to buy a gift for a garden lover.

I will have a small collection of dandelions, forget me nots, cornflowers, delphiniums and lavender for you, all grown and dried by myself and British Farms. I will also have a few nostalgic treasures and sparkly crystals too.

Bench peg Wednesday and this is my current work in progress on a daisy chain that my client has ordered. I’m delighted how it is coming along so far. It’s lovely that each daisy threads through the next just like you used to do as a child.

Earlier this month Colette, screen printed artisan textiles and I headed to the V&A, a museum I will admit that I had never been! With a family of boys the museum that is known for fashion and accessories wasn’t a go to place.

We headed into the jewellery and silver area where we had the most fun playing guess what this item was and then reading it on the cards!

Followed by a lovely lunch and then off to find the contemporary glass which was a treasure hunt to find the Gallery!

Coming back from sharing time and talking about how things are made, enjoying the textures and shapes it’s made me feel really inspired to make some new pieces.

Thanks to The Design Trust / Patricia van den Akker and the DPD VIP Club these plans might not have been made. So happy that we got out of our studios and made time for our creative date!

Behind the scenes after RHS Hyde Hall things got a little crazy, my son’s back operation was given a date and he is been in and out and on the mend which has meant that my headspace for anything other than hospital stuff went out of the window.

I have 2 commissions on the go and I did tidy my bench! But everything that I have promised is a little bit behind.

During his time in the hospital there was a time hop on my Facebook account which reminded me of one of my sons going to school days. These two were so cute when they were little. I wonder if they will re-enact this photo in their teenage version.

Yes to life and yes to doing things in a human way!
