Ste Monks fished his first ever session on The Res over the weekend, as part of the Lake Exclusive.

The group has tricky conditons all weekend with blistering temperatures and fishing starting to spawn in the later part of the session.

However, Ste capitalised on his session and managed 3 fish, including 'The General' at 40lb+!

A huge well done again to Alin Beudean who was presented with his framed capture of “The Pig” at 43lb from RH Fisheries M1 after catching the iconic fish on one of our socials 👏🐷

A proper special capture and one that definitely deserved something to remember it by!

The framed picture was produced by one of our supporting companies, Framing Guru , and was presented to Alin during the BBQ at Berners Hall in front of the lads over the weekend. Absolute top quality work once again 👌🖼️

These are the moments Carp Socials are all about… making memories, catching special fish and creating something that lasts long after the social ends.

Berners Hall Fishery Serious Carp Socials
DONE & DUSTED ☀️🎣

Another quality weekend with the Carp Socials crew at Berners Hall and what a proper up and down social it turned out to be!

It all started at Total Fishing Tackle for the draw before everyone headed down to the lake in some seriously hot conditions. The fish were clearly having a munch through Saturday with bites coming throughout the day before things completely switched by Saturday night as the fish started grouping up all over the lake.

Waking up Sunday morning and they were having a right proper go all over the venue with fish grouped up in nearly every area of the lake. Credit to the lads though because despite the conditions there were still 10 fish landed earlier on with easily another 15 losses in the thick w**d. At times it felt like every bite was a battle! 🌿🐟

There were some proper socials captures too with fish coming off the top including Ste Monks’ stunning 41lb 10oz mirror from the Rez and James Daly banking another 40lb+ common off the surface tactics. Absolutely buzzing for both of them 👏

Mike Preedy carried on his social form with another scaly one, Scott Saunders chipped away with a couple of lovely fish to 30lb, Adam Hinks had an early wake up call and David Stewart managed two fish within 20 minutes after altering his zig set-up. Will Dockerill also got amongst them during the feeding spell before the BBQ kicked off.

A few of the fish landed this weekend were absolute mint looking carp too — proper dark commons, big plated mirrors and some seriously chunky fish showing their summer colours in the heat. The lake looked unreal all weekend with fish cruising everywhere.

As always the BBQ went wicked with everyone getting together for food, drinks and the usual endless banter. That’s what these socials are all about and once again the atmosphere all weekend was spot on 🍔🍻

A massive thank you goes out to every single angler who attended the social this weekend. The support, laughs, effort and respect shown around the lake all weekend was class from start to finish 👏

Big thanks also to all the companies and supporters involved with the socials and helping keep these events going throughout the year. Your continued support means a lot to everyone involved.

Massive thanks to Berners Hall for the hospitality and also respect to the bailiffs for making the correct decision to shut the lake 24 hours early due to the spawning situation. Fish welfare always comes first and every single angler on the social fully backed the call. 👏

Now we look ahead to a couple of months off while the fish get a good rest and get back on the munch before we hit venues including Baden Hall Fisheries , Sandhurst Lake , Cromwell Lake , East Delph Lakes and then the big one… Dreamlakes France in September 🌍🎣

Second night now underway at Berners Hall Fishery .
Today’s BBQ gave everyone a chance to relax, catch up and enjoy the social side of the weekend before settling back behind the rods for another night on the bank.
The lake has continued to fish cautiously with the warm weather and heavy w**d making things challenging at times, but there have already been some quality fish banked and plenty more showing across the lake.
As darkness falls for night two, everyone is fully focused again and looking forward to what the next few hours might bring.

This immaculate 41lb 10oz mirror slipped up on a zig in the early morning heat and what a fish it is! Proper dark, clean and absolutely hench across the shoulders 🐋

The warm weather has definitely got them cruising high in the water and the zig tactics are continuing to produce the goods 👏

🔥 Berners Hall Fishery – First Night Done 🔥

Our first night is now completed and it’s been a fairly quiet start across the lake, with plenty of fish managing to find the thick w**d beds before seeing the net 😅🎣
A few opportunities came and went during the darkness but this morning looks good for it.
Top result so far goes to Mike Preedy with a lovely 39lb scaley mirror 🐟💥 A proper Berners Hall chunk .
Adam Hinks also had an early morning wake up call with a 19lb ☕🎣
Still plenty of time left in the social and with the weather heating up, everyone’s hoping the lake switches on over the next couple of nights 👀🔥

A scorcher of a day at the Berners Hall Fishery Social ☀️🎣
The temperatures have been seriously high today, making conditions tough at times, but the anglers are starting to get rewarded for the hard work with a couple of lovely 22lb mirrors hitting the bank.
First up was Mike Preedy with a stunning mirror then backing it up with another at 23lb followed by Scott Saunders with a mint looking mirror — 🐋
The lake has looked incredible all day with fish showing in different areas, and with everyone now settled in properly, it feels like there’s plenty more to come over the next couple of days.
