A fantastic day at our local Honey Show in Headstone Manor. A total of 134 exhibits from our association members and some prizes for Kevin and me. It’s been a very busy few days with lots of preparation. I was delighted to win the Blue Ribbon Award for best honey in show 2026 🍯🐝🍯🐝 It’s a shame that my first place Marmalade was stolen from the bench 😮. Paddington bear must have been on the loose….

Don’t forget it’s our local Honey Show this Bank Holiday Monday 12-5pm at Headstone Manor. Come along and find out about honeybees and beekeeping. Also, the very real threat of Yellow Legged Asian Hornet and what it means for us all. There will be some fantastic displays of honey and beeswax. A change from beekeeping and honey harvesting. I’ve been making some lovely honey and beeswax soaps today. Honey & Beeswax, Honey & Lavender, Honey, Oatmeal & Orange and a beautiful Honey, Beeswax & Propolis with Witch Hazel. All ready for our local Honey Show at Headstone Manor on Bank Holiday Monday. A lovely afternoon spent in London with .ran The Devil Wears Prada was fantastic. So excited to see Vanessa Williams play Miranda Priestly. A walk to Fortnum & Mason to look at the honeybees and shop window displays. Shame about the reflections in the glass.

Really pleased with my new BBwear Ultra Ventilated, sting resistant, bee suit. I’ve been thinking about this purchase for a while now, and wanted an upgrade from my previous bbwear suit, that’s still on the go. The made to measure fit is perfect, with arms and legs the correct length for me. As always, their customer service is second to none. Thank you James for all your help and advice over the past few weeks. They even embroidered my Caroline’s Apiary logo on the pocket for me. Well impressed! I can’t wait to try out my new suit, hopefully it’s a bit cooler in this hot weather. Do you like my purple wellies?? 😂 I feel like the bee’s knees ☺️🐝

The bees have been very busy Ducks Hill Farm Eggs Happy bees make a hot, but happy beekeeper! They are bringing in Himalayan Balsam now, with lots of bees with white stripes on their heads.

Don’t you just love when the hallway starts to fill with full honey boxes. Been a busy morning taking this lot off one of my sites. Still plenty more to come. Thankfully it’s a bit cooler for working today 💕 Thank you bees 🐝 🐝
