I’m a Paris Olympian making my comeback after a break away from international competition. I’m competing at National championships next weekend, then two World Cups early next year — all completely self-funded as I receive no government or UK Lottery support.

I’m determined to get back out there, compete again, and aim for podiums.

Lele is a 2024 Paris Olympian, a 2022 Commonwealth Games 5th-place finisher, and earned 7th at the 2022 World Masters. With a silver from the U23 European Championships, 4 World Cup medals, and 9 British Championship medals, she is the current -57kg British Champion. Seriously not one to post pure sop but lately I have found things hard to put into actual words…

I am the ONLY club based, self funded & non centralised athlete in Great Britain trying to quality for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

This has honestly been the most difficult journey/challenge I have faced, MENTALLY & PHYSICALLY. To the ones that know me, I’m sure you know! 😅

Last week I came back from Tokyo. Last minute I decided to enter the British national Championships and won my first Senior title. I have missed the feeling of success and Euphoria!

I don’t get to say enough how appreciative and thankful I am to family and friends for always supporting me, staying by my side and picking me up through the toughest & harshest times.

Big ups to all my sponsors, clubs and supporters that have financially made these last couple years possible!

Tomorrow, heading to Kosovo for my last event of the year. European Open Championships! I will do my best for more success.
