And just like that… we’re into a new month! ⚽️
September brings a fresh month of football, new challenges, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, another month of looking out for each other. 💙
What we do at Seaton Sluice Over 40’s has always been about more than just football.
It’s about getting together, having a laugh, keeping active, making friendships and giving the lads a place where they can switch off from everyday life for a couple of hours.

🟦⚽️⬜️ MATCH REPORT 🟦⚽️⬜️
When you go into a game looking for your first win, you don't mind how it comes.
But when you get that first win and score 7 goals while doing it, it is so much better.
We started the game off in strong fashion, taking the lead on 10 mins with Gaz getting off the mark. This was quickly followed by his 2nd on 17 and then again by his hat-trick goal on 23. JD also got off the mark for the season before half time.
Not a bad first 40!
10 mins into the 2nd half, Tèah bagged his 1st of the season and our 5th of the day.
A 2nd for JD and then a lob from distance by Stu completed the scoring for ourselves for the day
Respect has to be paid to the Sunderland The Philadelphia lads who never gave up during the game, themselves scoring 3 times in what was a goal fest for those watching on.
It's nice to get off the mark but we can't rest on this, we'll go again next week, this time looking to get our 1st away win of the season when we travel to play South Hylton.
