🎾 Vs. ⚾

As football season gets underway, rounders season comes to a close Up the Hill.

And what better way to see it off than with a little cross-sport showdown?!

Our Beacon Hill Rounders Ladies took on our neighbours, the Wickham Bishops Tennis Club, for a special fun match. Both clubs are part of the BHSA and both call Up the Hill home, so there was plenty of friendly competition!

A huge thank you to the tennis club for making it such a close match — we had a brilliant afternoon and plenty of laughs along the way. Thank you to everyone who turned up to watch!

Last Sunday our Ladies Reserves stepped onto the pitch for the first time in the club's history.

Watching this group work so hard, encourage one another and enjoy every minute made us incredibly proud. Whether it was your first game in years or your first ever, you were all brilliant.

Here's to the start of something really special.

Our Under 10 Boys are looking to welcome a few new players for the upcoming season.

Throughout August, they'll be holding trial sessions —a relaxed opportunity for players to meet the coaches, get to know the team and experience what Beacon Hill is all about.

We're a friendly, supportive club where young players can develop their football, build confidence and enjoy the game.

Earlier this month, we celebrated another fantastic Jack Petchey Awards Evening.

It was a pleasure to see so many of our young players with their Jack Petchey Achievement Awards, recognising their hard work, commitment and positive attitude throughout the season.

A special congratulations also goes to Rob and Rachel, who were recognised as our Outstanding Leaders for their dedication and the incredible contribution they continue to make to the club.

Well done to all of our award winners – thank you for showing what Beacon Hill is all about, both on and off the pitch.

It turns out there are quite a few of you interested in our Beacon Hill Rounders Ladies...

So, we've got something for you.

We're holding an Open Training Night on Tuesday 4th August, and ladies aged 13+ are welcome to come along and give rounders a try. Whether you've played before or you're completely new to the game, we'd love to see you.

📍 Wickham Bishops Playing Fields
🕖 7:00pm–8:30pm
💷 £2 per person

It'll be a relaxed evening and a great opportunity to meet the team, learn the game and have some fun. If you know someone who might enjoy it, bring them along too!

Walkers on Tour!

Our men's walking football team have been enjoying their annual tournament in Salisbury, putting in a fantastic performance over eight matches in some seriously hot conditions.

The squad finished with 4 wins, 3 draws and just 1 defeat, earning a well-deserved runners-up trophy. A brilliant effort from the team, who can count themselves a little unlucky not to have gone one step further.

Congratulations to everyone involved and enjoy that well-earned visit to the bar afterwards! 🍻

Another great weekend representing Beacon Hill

Well... if England can't bring it home, you can always count on Beacon Hill.

Last month, both our Ladies and Men's Walking Football teams were crowned champions at the Tiptree Cup, completing a fantastic double for the club.

Two trophies, two brilliant teams and another reminder that football is thriving at every age Up the Hill.

Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic achievement.
