We are excited to announce that we will be running Easter Wednesday football development sessions on the 9th & 16th April. This is £20 per session or if you book both it will be £30. Please share this with any friends, family or team mates that may be interested attending.

This will be at the new facility in Wigan.
📍 All sessions held at The Pavilion, Laithwaite Park, Scot Ln, Wigan WN5 0UE

Eash session will last 2 hours for the following ages.

Ages 7, 8, 9 & 10 (10am to 12pm)

Ages 11, 12, 13 & 14 (12:30pm to 2:30pm)

We will have ex Manchester City & Everton player Neil Pointon as a special guest coach.

What a fantastic start to Friday football last week was, it was great to personally work with each player and we look forward to developing them again today and also welcoming the players scheduled for this week along with the new registered players.

As we look to build, I'm now in the process and currently having discussions of getting some special guests along with the current academy coaches, we have delivering the programme. Some ex-players that I have worked with and possibly a current professional for a chance to have a Q&A with the players along with their session.

Starting with today, we have Neil Pointon, ex Man City, Everton and Hearts coming in to deliver the session, currently an acaemy coach and will give the players a chance to have a Q&A at the end.

Spaces have now gone past the half way capacity so if you know any players that would like to join in for the remaining 5 Fridays of Block 1 please share the link to register at the bottom of the email.

The club will be open for anyone wishing to get refreshments.

Please see attached the flyer for the new Friday Football starting again this summer at Garswood United FC. The first Block of 6 Fridays will begin this Friday and will be on going until Friday 7th July. In which we will look to take a couple of weeks break to then start Block 2 at the end of July.

Throughout the block we will again be looking to have special guests attend the sessions. All coaching will be delivered by UEFA qualified professional coaches where we look to create a challenging and fun environment for your child to develop their football skills. You can expect

We will deliver the sessions as followed.
4:30pm - 5:30pm
Group 1 - Age 5 & 6
Group 2 - Age 7, 8 & 9

5:45pm - 6:45pm
Group 3 - Age 10 & 11
Group 4 - Age 12, 13 & 14

It will be maximum 16 players per group.
First come, First serve basis.

We are offering to players that sign up for all 6 sessions get the last session for FREE. We had a great time last year and we hope to see your child this Friday or over Block 1 of Friday Football.

What a great experience it was for the players at Development Coaching to work with Neil Pointon an ex professional Footballer who played for the likes of Everton, Manchester City and Hearts and is a coach in a North West academy, giving them an insight to his training sessions and an opportunity for question and answer at the end about his career.

One question was who was the best player he played against. Answer Ryan Giggs. Who was an outstanding footballer for Manchester United. What an experience.

Excited to announce that we will have a special guest coaching with us this Friday 27th May.

Neil Pointon is an ex professional Footballer who played for the likes of Everton, Manchester City and Hearts in Scotland to name a few. Neil is currently a professional coach in a North West academy and we look forward to giving the players an opportunity to work with him and allow for any questions the players may have from his time as a player.
