Champions: FCB Hoops

A repeat of last year’s final, and it certainly did not disappoint!

From the first whistle to the last, it was a fiercely contested encounter, with both FCB Hoops and Wolves going toe-to-toe in an outstanding final. The game ebbed and flowed throughout, with both sides creating chances and showing great determination.

Just like last season’s final, the match finished 0-0 after normal time. There were opportunities at both ends, but the goalkeepers were simply on another level today — a huge credit to themselves and their teams for some incredible saves.

So, it came down to penalties…

With neither side willing to give an inch, the shootout could have gone either way before eventually heading into sudden death.

In the end, FCB Hoops held their nerve and emerged victorious.

Champions: Newton Le Willows

A fantastic final contested from start to finish, with two different styles of football on display and Golborne Aces taking the game right to the very end.

Both teams played their part in an exciting and competitive match, showcasing great determination, skill, and teamwork throughout.

Newton Le Willows stayed focused under pressure and came away deserved 4-3 champions on the day.

Congratulations to both teams on a brilliant final, and well done to everyone involved! ⚽👏🏆

A fantastic final between two excellent teams.

Congratulations to Pine Villa on reaching their second final in as many seasons. Your consistency and commitment continue to shine through.

Walton North End have been an impressive force since joining the league, and today they demonstrated exactly why, producing a superb team performance and playing at a fantastic level throughout the final.

Well done to everyone involved!

* Pine Villa return to the Europa Final, this time facing Walton North End
* Newton Le Willows take on Golborne Aces
* And in a rematch of last season’s Champions Final, FCB Hoops face Burscough Wolves

A brilliant way to close out the season, and it already sounds like Year 3 is going to be even bigger.

After a strong first season in the WGFL playing a year above their age group against most teams, Burscough Panthers U12s have continued to impress this season with consistently outstanding performances.

After an incredible second season, the league is already looking ahead — with a projected 60+ teams across U9s–U15s next season as plans begin to make Season 3 even bigger and better.
