Winstanley 2 - 1 Haydock lightning

Well done to the lads securing their first win of the season!
Definitely not our best performance but the lads dug deep and grabbed the first win! Incredibly proud of these lads! Archie pressing the keeper and playing it back for Charlie to smash it in to open the scoring, lads switching off briefly and this allowed the equaliser. Second half was much better and more shots being taken. Enoch dominated through 2 players then playing a fantastic ball through to Archie to grab us the winner. Well done to each and every one of them!

Winstanley 2 - 2 Haydock hurricanes

Absolutely brilliant game from the lads today!
No substitutes and played absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Passing and communication was fantastic and definitely playing as a team! Going 1-0 down the lads dug deep and Enoch powered through the midfield to level to scoring. Going into the half 1-1. Switched formation at half time and it worked well for us with Archie grabbing a goal to take us into the lead. Max made an awesome penalty save to keep us in the lead. Unfortunately they managed to grab a goal in the last minute to equal the scoring and ending the game 2-2. Lads played brilliant and can see improvement week on week. Proud of them all today especially celebrating with max after the penalty save 😀

Winstanley 1 - 4 Marina sands

First of all well done to the lads putting the effort in that they did today! First half was tough all round, going into the break 2-0 down. Second half was alot better with stronger tackles and better passing. Mason putting the penalty away with a great finish and definitely runs his socks off every game!Fitness was alot better and a sub played a big part in that. Few things we need to work on, communication between the lads and composure when we have the ball. Some good passes in spells but need to work on making this a consistent. Defensively Enoch and Jacob were fantastic! Max made a few great saves and i think they will be great working together this season. Overall we are proud of the lads performance and hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
