Medals galore for HW Masters

Kevin Snelling 4 Silver medals in the M65 throws, all PBs

Theresa Bowden W45 won 4 golds and a silver in discus (behind a very good Woking athlete.) Pick of the performances was the 1.53m High Jump (equal 5th on the club's all time list!) To put Teresa's HJ into context in the past 10 years in the W45 age group only the sisters Julia Malchin 1.65 & Diana Norman 1.55 have jumped better!
The other gold medals came in 80mH, 400mH and 100m.

Paul Lorimer-Wing 3 gold medals: M50 100m PB 12.82 and wins in long jump and triple jump

John Webster M85 3 golds in Hammer, Javelin & Weight throw

Ebbisham League - at Tooting Bec Sunday 12th April 2026

An excellent 2nd place performance by HW in the 1st match of the Ebbisham League at Tooting Bec Sunday 12th April 2026, thanks to an impressive turnout across all the board as many track athletes rose to the challenge of adding a field event.

Provisional result – Croydon 156, Hercules Wimbledon 146, Herne Hill 134, South London 121, Kingston & Poly 101, Sutton & District 96.

There were notable wins for Enzo Hogwood in the U14 100m (11.96), 200m (25.40) and shot (8.66). In the latter, Daniel Fitzsimmons was second for the B string with 5.36. Jeandre Ras won the U16 100m in 11.65. James Fraser won the U16 800m in 2:07.42, backed up by Cyrus Sheikh who was second for the B string in 2:14.07. Dylan Gilbert won the U16 1500m in 4:17.07 with Anas Briki second for the B string in 4:22.51.

Lily B League - Brace of 800m wins
Win in the 300m
Win in Discus

At the first Lily B League match of the season at Kingston on Saturday (11 April), the girls team finished third, thanks to a wealth of second and third placings (results have yet to be finalised).
There were wins on the track for Pa*ence Namazzi in the U16 300m in 42.71, Beatrice Eminson in the U16 800m in 2:26.28 and Emma Lord in the U18 800m in 2:26.12. Neva Jansen won the U18 discus with an impressive throw of 33.62m. (However, Neva has been over 34m twice this season and has a PB set in 2024 of 37.07!)

So far 2 silver medals in Poland for Anna Garnier.....

800m was a new W70 PB

Good to see a decent turnout from HWAC Masters - Men & Women last night at Kingsmeadow. A big big thank you to the officials - HW were there in force tbh the meeting would have struggled without them....

Earlier in the afternoon John Fenge drove up from the south coast to neet up with John Webster and myself. For newcomers to the club its been 25 years since Mr Fenge competed for us.
