「朋有り遠方より来たる、亦た楽しからずや」

It was so lovely to have Keiko back in Wimbledon from Japan this week.

She shared some of her Embu tips with us, and together we made a promise to keep practising and continue improving together.

Now as Keiko begins a new chapter in Paris, we want to wish her all the very best on her journey. 🇫🇷

Although she may be moving away, her Shorinji Kempo journey continues, and we hope she carries with her all the memories and friendships from her time with us in Wimbledon.

Good luck, Keiko. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 頑張って！

3rd Study Group — September 2026

We concluded our 3rd Study Group session yesterday, continuing this year’s theme:

「温故知新（おんこちしん）」
「可以為師矣（もって師となるべし）」

It was great to see kenshi from five different branches come together, learn from one another, and put our learning into practice on the floor.

In the afternoon, we also had a Hōwa (法話) session exploring the meaning and purpose of Chinkon-gyo, giving us an opportunity to reflect beyond the physical practice.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and shared their knowledge. 🙏

We look forward to the next Study Group in December, which will be open to all grades.

Until then, keep practicing, keep learning, and keep sharing.

Great time getting together for a Study Group hosted by our Wimbledon branch.

A solid session reviewing techniques, sharing knowledge, and sharpening the details with a great group of dedicated Kenshi on the mats. As the saying goes, 温故知新 by revisiting what we’ve learned, we discover new understanding.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a positive session. Looking forward to the next one!
