It's race day!!

1st round of the forest champs.

After team talk this morning we know our plan. No pressure, have fun and keep learning a whole new way of driving.

No expectations on the final result just get back safe, keep improving my times and enjoy it.

Thank you to my family and friends for coming today and supporting me on my first rotax junior race

It's the 1st round of the forest edge champs.

This year I have moved over to Junior Rotax but more on that after this weekend.

This will be my first race in junior rotax and only 2nd practice day.

My plan is just to enjoy it and keep learning as it's totally different engine and tyres.

What a great photo from Mansell Kart Racing Club recently

This has definitely got to be the best photo of this season taken at Mansell recently!!

Huge thanks to one of our seniors Rich Puddle for taking it for us.

Apologies for not keeping my page updated we have had technical issues at home with the PC but now all fixed.

The last few months have been a mixed bag but like always really enjoying my racing.

We have been to Forest edge kart club numerous times followed recently by mansell and we are at clay pigeon for the last round of the season is this weekend.

Recently we have been racing with either the senior blues or mini maxs. It's been a great experience and although we started 10 seconds behind I still worked my way through the grid on both and also taking best lap time in the final with the mini maxs.

I will update with what happens at Clay Pigeon Kart Club then onto the NKRA/2ckc presentation at the end of the month.

What a weekend!

Yesterday I went with a couple seniors and a cadet from the formula Blue and Junior Blue Academy to support the summer carnival in Wi******er in support of Neonatal Units within the Wi******er area.

The team of us spoke to numerous people, got in our karts and some littlest ones got pulled around the carpark in our karts. Also lookong forward to meeting potential new juniors at the track soon. Was a long but excellent day all for an amazing charity.

And the best bit we helped raise £1560 towards the cause.

Well done to everyone involved.

This is my teammate Tom Parkers helmet. We both used the same person. The work done by Chris is amazing and I would highly recommend him!

Can't wait for Tom and Pete (our mechanic) to go and collect it and we see it in person.

So sorry for the silence it's been hectic getting ready for the grand finals at the start of September.

Last 2 races have been a mountain of highs and lows. But as always onwards and upwards.

At Forest Edge recently I managed to gain a new PB of 42.8 seconds. I'm so pleased with this and shows how far I have come in a year.

Clay Pigeon was a bit of a disaster, we have electrical problems all weekend but all I had to do was start the finals in pole or 2nd and I would win the championship for the year. Thankfully I did! So wasn't a great race weekend but on a high for winning the championship!! More to come on this soon.

We have finally set up a team with Tom Parker, called APR (Alpha Performance Racing) and we are all really excited about this. Whereever our paths go we will always be a team and there isn't a better team mate to have then Tom.

Grand finals is at Forest Edge at the start of September, engine has been rebuilt ready kart is being stripped as we speak in preparation.

Not only did I this weekend get on the podium my team mate Tom did too.

Tom had one hell of a weekend too in the seniors, we were lucky enough on the Saturday to be able to go out together practising and it always ends up being competitive between us both. But thats the whole point of being part of a team isnt it!!?? All about having fun, working as a team and also being there for each other too in our own way.

On Sunday the first heat was amazing for Tom and he drove perfectly as was the other 2 heats although he suffered a few technical issues so started 8th in the final but got his head down and came in across the line in 3rd.

Both me and Tom are very similar as people and quite a handful especially when together, so Pete our mechanic always has a bit of a battle on with us to keep us focused but not hyper focused and our head in the right place but he does it so well and also keeps both our karts and engines in great condition and as running as best as they possibly can. We do like to keep Pete busy!!

Looking forward to us both being on the podium more and to keep working together as a team!
