Sorry I've been so quiet for the last couple of years - I've discovered that my life is much better without social media in it! However, I couldn't resist reactivating my Facebook for a few weeks so that I could share this post from a couple of weeks ago.
I'm thrilled to be a Comprehensive Studio Certified Teacher - meaning I have shown I can teach on the major pieces of apparatus: reformer, cadillac, chair and ladder barrel. Fancy trying the equipment - let me know and we'll make it happen!

Congratulations to Karen & Hannah who both passed their Comprehensive Studio exams on Friday! 😊😊

We're in good company!

We’re happy to see we’re in good company when we’re doing our Zoom Pilates classes 💜 (although we’re still waiting for our J-Lo six packs to appear 🤔).

If you haven’t already joined a Zoom Pilates class, Body Control Pilates are offering over 45 Matwork and Reformer classes a week, from 8am ‘Wake Up’ classes through to evening sessions for all abilities 🙆🏼‍♀️🙆🏻‍♂️.

There are also over 1000 Body Control Pilates teachers worldwide 🌍 offering their own classes too!

Taking the opportunity for some me time with a few days off from teaching, in the past 24 hours I have taken part in a fantastic Chair class with the lovely Lisa B yesterday, a mat class with bands with the brilliant Brooke Siler this morning, and this afternoon took this community class with awesome Anula Maiberg live from New York. If you look closely at the photo you might spot my Zoom studio (I recognised the backdrop rather than myself!).

What a special way to spend Good Friday afternoon! 💙

A massive thank you to the incredible Anula Maiberg ✨ for running this big community class for 60 lucky Body Control Pilates teachers! 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️

All organised in under 48 hours and all profits going to our incredible NHS heroes 🙏🏻

So lovely to see so many happy faces and bodies moving together! 😊

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. What a strange world it is that we find ourselves in.
Both Wi******er Pilates and Wellow Fitness Centre remain open and running their regular timetable this week, so I look forward to seeing some of you over the next couple of days.
Obviously everything is changing on a daily basis at the moment, but I understand many of you are self-isolating in line with Monday's updates regarding "vulnerable" people, either for your own or your families sakes.
With this in mind, I have today run a trial class digitally and will be contacting all students about how my private mat classes, and those at the Hursley Club, will run over the coming weeks. Welcome to our new world...


So far 2020 has been a mixed bag of great stuff and not so great stuff. But I'm determined it's going to get better, and to focus on the positives...
I've spent the afternoon catching up on admin, and finalising the details for our Retreat weekend which is now only just over 5 weeks away!

A little belated but Happy 2020! I had a great social media detox in December and have decided to make less Facebook time my major resolution for the new year.
I'm not sure how we are now half way through Janaury, and most classes are now fully back in to routine! Much more positive comments about how students have been feeling in their bodies this week in comparison to last week's post Christmas sluggishness!
I'm now looking forward to the Retreat in March, and if you're booked in check your emails as I need some info from you soonish.

It’s been a busy few weeks, and I missed saying this on Thursday, but hopefully better late than never!
I want to thank Elin for her teaching on Thursday evenings over the last 2 years. I know from the students that they’ve loved your classes. We are all very sad that such good things have to come to an end. We’d like to wish you all the very best for the future, and hope that one day soon you’ll be able to teach regularly again. In the meantime, we all look forward to having you cover classes!

But I definitely need to say, “Not only did my class say how great I was at counting today, I also got my lefts and rights correct!” 😂🤣


Adding to my ”Training with Pilates Royalty” Wall of Fame, here I am with Kathy Corey this week. We worked on and significantly improved another of my nemesis exercises, the Airplane (or Waterwheel). Thank you for all your help, Kathy! I am incredibly jealous of anyone spending time with her at the BCP Development Weekend today and tomorrow! I loved every second of my 2 days with her at the pre-convention workshops. ❤️💙❤️💛❤️


Such an amazing weekend. It was an honour to be moved (in so many ways - physically and emotionally) by 2 fantastic teachers. Brooke Siler and Dana Santi - thank you for all your sharing, generosity and for helping me find strength in places I didn’t know I had it! 🥰


The learning never stops! Looking forward to this 3 days but it’s going to be intense. Hope I can still move on Monday!
