I’ve loved stepping in to cover these two and excited to take them over every week for a number of reasons

▪️City is where this crazy journey began in October last year, my first taste of Third Space and their values
▪️The two concepts I lived and breathed through the pandemic
▪️Many of you will have already experienced my WOD and Kettlebell classes but these will be next level.

So City, expect Burpees, Thrusters, Swings a sprinkle of Devils Presses here and there. Prepare yourselves for some wicked themes 😉

Set Goals, Hunt them Down One by One.

Last December I covered this awesome studio for the first time, I sat on the train home setting goals for this year. One was bag a regular slot right here. Tonight I teach my first Thursday Night Triple.

So many of the people who have inspired me have taught in this room. Two years ago I picked up my Kettlebells in my living room mid pandemic and joined my first @thirdspacelondon class with Luke Baden. At that point the idea of being good enough to teach here was a dream. Pushing aside a lot of doubters and my own self doubt along the way, here I am and this is where you’ll find me every Thursday 💪🏻

So to those of you who follow me and can join me on a Thursday Night, get yourselves booked in:

The fundamentals of Personal Training and Group Exercise are building a support network around someone to help improve health and wellbeing

I am so lucky to have Abby by my side who shares that same motivation, supports me, believes in me day to day and is that support network that helps drive me to achieve bigger things.

I am very proud of how we have supported each other, and motivated each other to get where we are now and I am excited for what the future has in store for us both personally and professionally.

Whether you nailed 1 or 2 classes last night, you guys well and truly nailed the mission we set out at the beginning of class and came together as one awesome community

After 2 years of Lockdowns, Online and Outdoor workouts it was amazing to see such a diverse group of members under one roof

A huge thank you to the 100 plus members that turned up and allowed me to lead the team on stage, you have all been a huge part of my journey as a Trainer so I will always take the opportunity to come back and make you do Devils Presses and more burpee variant of concerns than a Covid pandemic

FEBRUARY!!!

I am beyond excited for this month

Not only am I returning to @windsorleisurecentre to lead a huge 90min Circuits Class with 4 awesome instructors but a HUGE month @thirdspacelondon also!

I finally start my educations in 6 more concepts. In particular The WOD, this is the class that kept me sane through Lockdowns and exposed me to Third Space and their awesome instructors.

I am also returning to the bike with Hardcore and Power Ride educations after months off I definitely can’t wait to blast some tunes in those awesome Cycle studios it has been a long time coming!!

I am covering Third Space City later in the month where my Third Space journey began meaning I will have taught at all of our awesome facilities across London!

Not to forget that @saluslondon is also going to allow me to lift weights again after a month of working with just my bodyweight, we’ve made awesome progress so far, 5kg down, Body Fat down, more energised and on top of my nutrition!

Plus there’s some more coming on the 26th February, but I’ll leave that in the tank for now 😉

Things I’ve heard this week 🤦🏻‍♂️
▪️I am going to start fasting until 2pm each day
▪️I am eating 800cals a day
▪️I think I am just going to cut out Carbs

Each time I’ve screamed inside as we begin the yearly “New Year, New Me” cycle employing unrealistic eating habits to try and achieve rapid weight loss which probably won’t last the majority of the month just because some Doctor somewhere (probably from the US or appeared on This Morning) said it’s a good idea.

So listen to this one, I’ve employed a coach for the next 8 weeks to review my training and nutrition intake and in my first 4 days I’ve dropped nearly 3kg. No crazy calorie deficit, not cutting out an macronutrient and I’ve barely trained this week…

A slight calorie deficit, eating a balance of macronutrients. I feel more energised, my caffeine consumption has dropped from 4/5 cups per day to 1/2. All of which I believe are sustainable changes I can maintain going forwards

Moving 120kg this AM followed up by 100kg RDLs

Last two weeks of trying to lift heavy before I finally de-load over Christmas.

Have noticed a huge change in the weights of my lifts since changing up my diet and going into workouts much more fuelled and ready!

Better quality of sleep has definitely been a huge factor also!

That’s a wrap 🎬

6 years ago I was too nervous to teach a Group Exercise Class, I came up with every excuse under the sun to avoid it.

I am so glad I made that jump all those years ago and taught my first class. Through Indoor Cycling, Boot Camp, Rumble, HIIT, Kettlebells, and Circuits. I am so proud of what the members who attend my classes have achieved

Coming out of the first lockdown I wanted to create a community within our Leisure Centres that were there to work their arses off, encourage each other and complete blocks of work that on paper or sounded near impossible. I remember explaining AMRAPs, EMOM and Chippers for the first time and being looked at like I was talking Japanese. Now some of you smash through 20+ burpees in a minute

We started back with 4 of you, to then see 50 of you regularly once again in a Sports Hall on a Monday night smashing burpee gauntlets, marathons and fitness tests is something I never thought we would see again coming out of the pandemic, thank you!

I am sorry to be leaving the schedule, but I want to devote everything I can to the opportunity I have been given with Third Space and chase a dream that got me through the first stage of the pandemic.

But I need you to remember, Stay Aware because you never know where I will be popping up in the New Year 😉

Trying to lift heavy over these next few weeks in the lead up to Christmas. Solid weeks training with my Bench back up to 90kg also 🙌🏻

New Week, New Month, New Goals

So excited to start my Instructor training @thirdspacelondon tomorrow with Sweat X

Have loved meeting the members of the team that I have so far and blown away by their kindness and how welcoming they are!

The Kettlebell Klub programme also kicks off today and I am really excited to see how this programme works and teaches those taking part how to use kettlebells effectively

On a sadder note this month also sees me teach my finally scheduled classes at @windsorleisurecentre and @braywickleisurecentre. I am really looking forward to working with and teaching with my replacements over the coming weeks, before I pass the torch on and become their back up dancer 🕺

Its Time to Fly the Nest…

After 7 years in the Studio Timetable at @windsorleisurecentre and the last year at @braywickleisurecentre it’s time to move on..

I am excited to announce I’ll be joining the Sports and Performance Group Ex Team @thirdspacelondon

Over the last 18months I’ve followed the work of trainers who I consider to be role models and I consider to be the best in our industry, to up my game. Attended class after class across London and online with @lifewith_abz trying my best to pick up knowledge from the best, thank you for being an incredible support

To those I’ve tagged I have learnt something from all of you that’s helped me develop, from taking part in your classes or following your content. You may not even know it but Thank you for being amazing role models. 🙌🏻

Most importantly a huge thank you to the members of Leisure Focus and my clients your support and energy through Lockdown Classes on Zoom, in Tents, Sports Halls, Theatres and back in our Studios has been amazing. Without you I wouldn’t have achieved this! You have left me with memories I will hold close with me for the rest of my life, I have loved being your instructor.

I am so excited to start my training next week in Formula 3, Sweat X and Kettlebells

I’ll be around at Windsor and Braywick for a little longer on the timetable so you’ve got a few more weeks to catch me 🙌🏻
