A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone at The Windsor Boys' School Boat Club who have made it virtually around the world in 28 days for Alexander Devine!

Taking on this exceptional challenge staff, students and alumni joined together to row, cycle, run and walk around the WHOLE WORLD in February to raise vital funds for our children’s hospice service and WBSBC and they smashed it! An incredible 40,075 kilometres and over £3800 raised! A fantastic achievement.

Please join us in giving them a big cheer and, if you can, please sponsor their efforts here: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/wbsbcaroundtheworldfeb/

Are these Windsor boys on the river? Oil painting for sale by auction on 26th November (lot 126) - www.parkerfineartauctions.com
Read on for some great sculling tips from Mark Wilkinson at The Windsor Boys' School Boat Club 👇
If anyone needs something to read during the Great Shutdown and a disappointing season ahead, I've written a crime and love story novel about the Thames, the river which is part of my very being since my rowing days at WBBC in the early 1960s.
The first chapter starts the story with the sinister end to a training outing for an eight one Sunday morning.
The book is self published and can be Googled as a paperback (Feedaread) or an Amazon e-book. Just look for 'Restless Waters' by author Duncan Shepherd (my pen name).
All the best,
Dave Alderson (1958-64)
Looking forward to the WBSBC quiz on 7th March but do we need to get tickets in advance or just turn up? Apologies - Comms breakdown on my part!
Ever wondered what happens to all those wonderful raffle prizes won at the annual boat club dinner? Well, this rowing Gran got to celebrate the opening of her 75th birthday festivities with afternoon tea at the Sir Christopher Wren today thanks to one of the prizes this year. Oh, and look, keeping with the rowing theme, she’s now the proud owner of a stylish shopping bag, too! Thank you boat club!!

Just an amazing set of A-Level Results from this most outstanding group of rowers - the best we have seen at WBSBC. Bar none.

Never missed a session and delivered on every level from rowing wise and academically.

Their record just this year is utterly outstanding and across their time at wbsbc in the most challenging of worlds - a completely unique experience from the pandemic, to building a whole new rowing centre and more.

Congratulations to them all as they now head to some of the best universities in the World including

Princeton USA
University of London
Durham
Nottingham
Bristol
Portsmouth
Reading
Oxford Brookes

Onwards!

2 current WBSBC athletes represent Great Britain - Marcus Chute in the U19 Men's Single, and Jacob Ioras in the Men's U19 Quad.

On top of that, WBSBC has 3 alumni in the U23 Team with Bryn Ellery (Men's U23 Quad), Isaac Workman (Men's U23 Eight) and William Denegri (Men's U23 Coxed Four) represented.
