Winsford Town Vale 2-4 Holmes Chapel Hurricanes Blacks

Not the result we wanted today, but plenty to be positive about from the performance.

After a difficult start, the boys responded really well and produced a much stronger second half, putting Holmes Chapel under pressure and creating plenty of chances.

We had a good number of shots throughout the game and on another day a few more of those find the back of the net.

Hartford 1–1 Winsford Town Vale

Another strong performance from the boys today, with plenty to be positive about.

Hartford took an early lead from the penalty spot, but the reaction from the boys was excellent as Harry E got us level with a brilliant strike from distance.

The second half was a strong team performance. The boys worked hard for each other, defended well and created plenty of chance as we pushed for the winner.

The final 15 minutes were especially impressive, with the boys putting Hartford under sustained pressure and forcing them to defend. Despite all that pressure and the chances we created, we had to settle for a point.

Credit to Hartford for a competitive and well fought game, and we’ll look forward to the return fixture later in the season.

Frodsham Park U12 1 - 4 Winsford Town U11

Today the boys played their league opener away at Frodsham Park, coming away with a brilliant 4–1 win. ⚽👏

A really positive performance from the boys, especially with four new players in the squad.

The Boys started positively controlling possession and testing Frodsham and is wasn’t long before Albie opened the scoring with great strength to battle his way through. Harry L made it two with a well-timed run and strong finish from Harry E’s through ball.

Oscar added the third after great work from Benji to put the ball across the box, before Harry E rounded off the scoring with a dangerous delivery from the right.

The boys created plenty of chances, defended well as a team and showed excellent work rate and communication throughout.

⚽ Can you complete our squad?

As we prepare for the exciting step up to 9v9 football, we’re looking for one or two players to complete our Winsford Town U11 squad for the 2026/27 season.

Our players are going into Year 6 this September, but we’d also be happy to hear from a Year 7 player looking for a new challenge.

We’ve built a fantastic group of boys who work hard, support each other and love their football. We’re looking for players with a great attitude who want to develop, enjoy the game and be part of a great team environment.

What we offer:
⚽ 9v9 football, playing up in the Under 12 Mid Cheshire Youth League

What a day for the boys at today’s tournament! They played some brilliant football in warm conditions, the boys worked hard throughout the day and kept going right to the end, topping the group without losing a game. Only 4 goals conceded all day — a fantastic effort 💪

After a great run, they narrowly missed out in the final on penalties. A tough way to finish, but every single player gave it their all. We couldn’t be prouder of their team work, effort, attitude, and how they played. 💙🔥

Started the season as strangers in a brand new team.
No name, no kits, no clue who played where.

Bit by bit, week after week, they found their feet, found each other, and built something brilliant.

Couldn’t be prouder of this group of lads! Not just for the football, but for the resilience, the friendships, and the way they’ve backed each other from day one.

A huge well done to all the boys this season 👏👏
