Today marks the start of the FIFA World Cup, and we thought we'd put one of the tournament's biggest statistics into perspective.

At the last World Cup, an incredible 172 goals were scored across the tournament. So, naturally, we wondered what that would look like if every goal was represented by a football inside one of our skips.

The result? 172 footballs, all packed into a single skip! With a brand-new tournament now underway, the big question is: will we see even more goals this time around?

Through every high and every low, these boys have shown heart, character and fight until the very last whistle. Players have come and gone, challenges have been thrown their way, but nothing stopped this squad from battling for each other every single week.

With at least five regular U16s stepping up and making their mark, this group has shown exactly what football is all about. Fearless. Committed. Together.

Now the next chapter begins — some staying with Bilston Town, some heading off to university, and some already breaking into men’s football. No matter where they go, they’ll always be part of this team and this club.

A special group. A season to remember.

A convincing 4-0 win over Tipton Town today! Even with all their ringers, they couldn’t live with us 👏
