Hard battle for a young team, the aim was for them to enjoy it and we witnessed plenty of smiles and laughter despite the results. Saw some big improvements in individual skill and confidence throughout the matches. Player of the Tournament went to Lucas for his amazing tackling and defensive awareness.
Well done to all the children who took part! π«Ά

This week is National Volunteers week and we would like to give a huge thank you to every single volunteer that helps and supports the club in a variety of ways. Volunteers allow all players from our junior section to our senior players to experience the incredible sport of hockey and all the hockey community has to offer! π
Next season we are continuing to grow our junior section and are always looking for volunteers and aspiring coaches who would like the opportunity to be involved. This could be parents, club members or even older juniors looking to complete their DofE volunteering section. π
If this interests you and you would like more information please contact a member of the junior section via the email below or speak to a member of the team pitch side! π

We are pleased to announce that Will Walker, our current Menβs coach, has been appointed as our Junior Head Coach.
Will is the Director of Hockey at Wrekin College with 16 years of coaching experience. He has coached junior and senior Menβs and ladies club hockey in the Midlands and the South East. Will has also spent time in Perth, Australia as a player, and also as a Club and School hockey coach.
Junior Development continues to be an important element of the Club, carrying on the legacy that the legend Sue Myers started over 25 years ago, when she also was instrumental in leading the development of the WASPβs tournament for school, in Wolverhampton.
Sunday sessions for aged 5 β 14 years - Sunday mornings from 10am to 11.30am until 12th July 2026
Core Skills sessions for 11-18 years - Monday evening 7pm to 8pm until 29th June 2026.
The coaches will take a well-earned break over the summer period, when many families are on holiday, ready to return for the 26/27 season.
New coaching helpers are always welcome, support and mentoring will be provided.
New players are also welcome, we offer lots of support for those that are new to hockey as well as anyone who has previously played, both at a Junior and Senior level with our Back to Hockey and Walking Hockey programmes, as well as our standard adult teams.
