🗣️ City of Wolverhampton Council is welcoming views on a new open space strategy and action plan for public spaces across the city to make sure they meet the needs of residents.
These might be formal parks and recreation grounds, children’s play areas, smaller green spaces or natural areas with a focus on conservation.
People can complete an online survey to help council planners understand more about how residents use open areas and play spaces across Wolverhampton.

West Park lake: We are currently carrying out precautionary water safety tests at West Park lake. We ask members of the public not to make contact with the water, keep pets away from the water and not to feed the waterfowl while we take these precautionary measures. Many thanks.

One of the team has found a mobile phone when on a site visit this morning. If you've lost yours, please call the number on the phone (which has very low battery) or DM a landline number that you can be called on. You will need to be able to describe the lock-screen of the mobile phone.

❄️ Please be careful.
We’re experiencing very cold weather and ice is forming over city ponds and lakes.
❗ Please DO NOT walk on frozen waterways and make sure children and young people know the risks of thin ice and deep water.
Frozen lakes and ponds pose a significant risk to life and care MUST be taken.
❗ Dogs should also not be allowed onto the ice and should be kept on a lead around water.
In the event of an emergency, please call 999.

If you live or work near Hickman Park, why not have your say.
🌲 Do you visit Hickman Park in Bilston? We’d love to hear what you think about it.
We want to find out what you like about the park and what could be improved as well as hearing about any barriers you feel there are to using it.
Your thoughts will help us to develop a plan for the park to help us with funding opportunities in the future.
