Having worked with John Griffiths for the last three years, the gaffer is looking forward to going into the 2026/27 with Kie.

"Last season was a stop-start one for him due to work commitments but we're hoping to have him available much more going into the new campaign.

At just 23 years of age, Kie has learned so much about himself over the last few years and that's what pleases me most. He has matured both on and off the pitch into someone I'm really looking forward to working with again.

Kie is the type of player who can single-handedly win football matches. On his day, he's as good as anyone I've seen, but bringing that level of performance consistently is something both myself and the coaching staff will be aiming to help him achieve this season.

✍️ RETAINED: TIMMY OYANDA

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Timmy Oyanda has committed his future to the club for another season. A player who is no stranger to our supporters, Timmy is now set for his third season with the club after returning this campaign following a spell with Kenya Police FC during the latter stages of the 2024/25 season.

"An exceptionally intelligent footballer, Timmy brings quality, creativity and excitement every time he steps onto the pitch. Comfortable on either wing or operating behind the striker, he possesses the ability to unlock defences, create chances and produce moments that leave supporters on their feet.

Personally, I couldn't be more excited to see Timmy in attack this season. The previous two seasons working with him have been an absolute pleasure and I truly believe there is even more to come. ✍️ RETAINED: OLLY WEST

Olly joined the group at the end of January and quickly added quality and strength to the squad.

"Olly is a bit of a rough diamond. He’s still young but already has plenty of experience at Steps 4 and 5. When he arrived, he was coming off the back of injuries and had endured a stop-start season. However, after a month with us and adapting to the demands we place on the lads, he improved significantly and grew in strength and stature with every game.

I’m delighted that he has committed himself to me and the club again for next season. I firmly believe there are still more top performances to come from him and I’m looking forward to seeing him continue his development and make an even bigger impact next season." - Griffo

We're delighted to announce that Griffo has secured the services of last season’s top marksman for another season. After attracting considerable interest from other clubs, we’re delighted that 'Magic Munday' has chosen to stay with AFC Wolverhampton City.
