📣 Exciting news for primary schools! Big funding boost incoming! 📣

The Department for Education has just announced a major update for the 2026/27 Academic Year, and it’s brilliant news for school sports, active playgrounds, and physical activity! ⚽️🏃‍♂️

Here is the quick summary of what’s changing:

🚀 More Funding:
The one-off transition payment has officially been increased from £100m to £150m!

🍂 When it arrives:
Schools will receive this extra uplift in the Autumn term through your existing PE and Sport Premium allocations.

⏱️ Flexibility: Although the new partnerships network starts in April 2027, schools can spend this funding across the entire 2026/27 Academic Year.

📋 Official Details:
Updated guidance, formulas, and Conditions of Grant will be published as usual in September.
