The Lawn Bowls Season at Woodford started on Saturday. Despite the photo the sun was shining, and the green looking good. We always start our Saturday Drive with a “Spider Game” where everyone bowls to a small disc in the middle of the green but I think bowling indoors during the winter months has had an effect.

We are very sad to share the news of the death of Clive Hubbard who passed away earlier this week.
Clive joined the club in 2008 and will be remembered for his gentle nature, cheerful outlook and wonderful sense of fun.
He particularly enjoyed playing in the Tuesday Evening League and continued to come along to support his team even after becoming ill. He was delighted to see his team lift the trophy.
We extend our sympathy to Jenny and their family at this very sad time.
