✨ Beautiful & talented ‘Coco’, owned by Michelle Bates, looking stunning in her EvoEquine bridle – complete with the gorgeous Pearl and Black Rose browband! ✨

I completed a bit fitting consultation with this lovely pair a few months ago. Coco chose a purple titanium bit from the Aster Bits range, selected specifically to suit her oral anatomy. But while the bit was the original focus of the consultation, it quickly became clear her bridle really needed some attention too – and honestly, that change is what made the huge difference to her comfort and way of going! 🪄

This is exactly why I never carry out bit consultations without fully checking that the bridle fits correctly too. Both need to work together in harmony; one without the other just won’t ensure your horse’s comfort and well-being. 🤝

And the results? They are absolutely storming their first season with British Dressage and are virtually unbeaten so far! 🎉🐎

Clever, clever Coco – what a star! 😍

Privileged to be invited back to the fabulous ACE Camps at Somerford Park – this makes visit number 4 for me as their bit and bridle fit consultant! 🎉

It was brilliant catching up with familiar faces, meeting lots of new ones, and seeing everyone having such a great time – even if I did spend most of the day with my head in a horse’s mouth 🤓🐴

Six clients seen, some had minor adjustments, some had new bridle parts, some new bridles and for some new bits with suited their oral anatomy. Some lovely positive differences made.

A very busy, but absolutely rewarding day.

Hope everyone got home safely, and the horses all settled well tonight!

A lovely couple of hours spent on Friday evening supporting Corner House Equine Clinic at their End of Summer evening party! 🐴✨

It was brilliant catching up with friends, fellow professionals, and clients – both familiar faces and lovely new ones too.

The weather was pretty miserable outside, but we were warm, dry, and having a great time inside! 🥂 hot drinks, delicious pizza, and cake… what more could you ask for? 😋

A well-supported event, and lovely to see everyone coming together. Thanks for having us – a great way to mark the end of summer! 💛

🐎 Four Thoroughbreds (okay… one part-bred Reggie 😜)
👩‍💼One owner willing to trust me (thank you Lisa Hudson)
✅ 4 custom fitted anatomical bridles
✅ 1 qualified bit consultant having great fun
✅ 4 completely different bitting solutions – because every horse’s mouth anatomy is different
✅ A disco classic from the 70s 🎸🎶

…and VOILÀ! ✨

Four happy, comfortable horses, four setups tailored exactly to their anatomy, training level and welfare, and one very happy owner.

What an amazing two days I have had working with West Midlands Police Mounted Division🐴

Over 25 years ago, I found myself marching — rather badly — around the parade square at Tally Ho! Fast forward to the past two days, where I’ve been privileged to support the Mounted Division, assessing and fitting bits for their police horses. Welfare and equine comfort was the absolute priority throughout, and it has been such a special experience coming back here in this very different capacity. Especially as they were not aware I was an ex-officer when they initially approached me.

Lovely to see the horses so well looked after, with outside space so they can reach each other, massage pads, physio’s, welfare checks both internally and externally. The only casualty in all of this has been the Tally Ho Bowling Green (Oops!) which is now a state of the art stable barn and a beautiful outdoor arena.

Wishing the brave horses and officers all the very best - there are some absolute idiots out there.
