We end the year unfortunately on the losing end of a 2-1 score line.

It wasn't our day today, we came out the blocks a little slow and ended up on the back foot, but we slowly worked our way back in to the game.

Second half was a much better performance, with the Bidford goalkeeper keeping us at bay with a good save tipping Juniors edge of the box effort on to the bar. The keeper could do nothing to stop Thomas from getting his goal, which was well deserved for the energy that Thomas had shown throughout the game.

A deserved MOTM today for Thomas, not only for getting his goal, but for never giving up, chasing everything he could and showing a willing attitude.

We go in to the Christmas break on a high though, although we have lost the last two games, overall the year has been great, the lads have come a long way since the turn of 2025, we will be back stronger in 2026 and look to get back up and running.

Up next, we travel to second place Bidford Juniors, as we look to get back to winning ways.

Having played out to a 2-2 draw in a friendly earlier on this year, we look forward to a highly competitive match up.

Come on you SAINTS

Here at Nunnery Wood Saints, we are keen to put the development of all of our players first.

We are keen to invest in this squad and help improve them all as individuals and as a team, a major tool to assist in the development is the ability to record and analyse matches, being able to show the players what went right and wrong during a match can be absolutely vital to development, with it often being easy for them to see rather than just listen.

The Club have some funds that can go towards the purchase of a AI camera to record matches but as a club we do require to raise some more funds to help us.

So as its coming up to Christmas, I thought why not start with a Guess the Elfs Name scratch card.

£2.00 a go and the winner will receive the prize of £40

Please comment below or message for any names you'd like to back.

If you want more reason to support the fundraiser here are some of the benefits to using an AI Camera on match days:

AI Tracking
Live Streaming
Player/Team Growth

AI Game Analysis
Smart tracking and auto Zoom
4K Video recording

Other sponsorships options to support this are available.

Bravery, courage, team spirit, are just some of the words you describe today’s MOTM

It wasn’t the result we hope for, with our unbeaten streak coming to enough after 7 matches, we came out on the losing end of a 3-1 tough battling match.

Well done to Dara for being the first to put his hand up to cover in goal in the absence of our number 1

The Full time whistle blows at 4-0 to the Saints..

A scrappy match to start with, but a deserved win in the end, extending our unbeaten run now to 7 games, winning 6 and drawing 1.

MOTM today for the second week running went to Junior, his tireless energy in midfield, willingness to challenge for the ball, getting blocks in when they mattered and some composure when needed was just what we needed today in a scrappy contests.

Goals game from :
Thomas with a composed penalty
Dara with a nice curly near post effort
Ben with a good follow up from a rebound
Jonty with a cracked well placed long range effort.

Until we go again, rest up and come on you Saints

A fantastic 2-0 away win last time out saw the Saints march to a 6 match unbeaten run.

Next up we Visit Evesham Utd Juniors for what is expected to be a testing match.

Early team news suggests Dylan will make his much awaited return from injury.

Come on you Saints - Lets extend the unbeaten run.

This was a hard one today, today’s match was a full team effort, everyone hard a part to play and they played it to the fullest.

But today’s MOTM went to Junior, for doing what junior does best, breaking up play in midfield, putting a foot in to make those blocks for the team. Junior was also a lot more composed on the ball.

As previously said, this was a hard choice and there could have easily been many others earning this today.

Reuben didn’t see much action, but found a way to need his kit washing

Harder to miss than score, but two goals for Jonty mean the game is sealed.

Dara had a MOTM performance, only thing missing was a goal, thanks to this great save from the Evesham United F.C goalkeeper
