What a beautiful journey I am on… I never thought I’d be where I am now when I first picked up that gun in April I thought blimey how to people get ‘good’ at this and I still think that now! When I quit riding horses I truly believed I wouldn’t find another hobby I enjoyed and wanted to thrive in and after much trial and error a spur of the moment ‘What’s the harm in giving it a go’ lesson snowballed into a full blown obsession. With a LOT of support from my coaches, friends I’ve made through shooting and family I’m striving on and really pushing myself even when I did have a little ‘I’m never going to be good’ wobble a few weeks ago. It’s a process, practise makes perfect and you don’t need to be a world be**er.

Did my first 100 bird at Ian Coley Sporting today and what a baptism of fire. Some really tasty targets some of which I’ve never shot before. Did I let put me off? Nope. I gave everything a good go and came off some stands with a big fat zero but that’s okay. You live and you learn. 12 weeks since I started shooting and I didn’t do horribly and out shot my dad!
