So Laurien is only 6 weeks into a weight loss phase. She’s lost 11lb in that time, lost 8cm off her waist, built sustainable habits, introduced strength training and planned around her chaotic job which includes working away and staying in hotels. Yet she makes no excuses, she has been honest every step of the way and ultimately that’s what has got her the results as then I can programme her accurately.
As she is going on holiday soon we are starting now to reverse diet so that she won’t have the rapid yoyo weight gain after a deficit, she won’t bloat now and when she’s away and this will support her to keep on track whilst away as she won’t be on smaller amount of calories. There is little research around reverse dieting however I love it and find it works wonders.

HEAR ME OUT ON THIS ONE AS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS!
I saw a post from someone who works in the NHS say it’s impossible to lose weight when working for the NHS so they were taking weight loss medication aswell as promoting them with a discount code.
Stay with with me here….. I’m not actually opposed to weight loss medication but I’m pretty sure they hadn’t done the basics consistently, not properly and that annoyed me.
The medication will move the number on the scales but if the habits underneath never change then the weight will come back because nothing will be maintained …. Healthy habits (the basics) still won’t be followed.
I worked as a nurse for the NHS for 20 years and I’m here to tell you yes it’s hard but it’s not impossible at all. You just need the right plan. I have plenty of shift workers on my team and they are smashing the results.
Weight loss medication has become the easy go to before the basics are applied. Yet so many people say coaching is expensive…. It’s cheaper than the injections I know that!

This is my client. She has been with me almost 12 weeks and every week without fail she has lost weight. She has in total lost 6kg which is a healthy and sustainable amount in that time frame.
She by no means has it easy, she is a busy nurse doing shifts, she has a family, but has completed every single workout without fail, no excuses. She plans her days and works very hard! Very proud!

This is my client Laurien. She came to me feeling low on energy, bloated and had put on some unwanted weight after being in a more sedate job. Here’s what we did:
- We gave her a structured workout programme that she could do either at home or while working away from home.
- We worked out her calories and macros. - She weighed and tracked all of her food accurately.
- we kept protein high so she was full and satisfied and not tempted to hit the vending machine.
- We took time to figure out her meals as working away she had to rely on takeaways or eating out.
- She focussed on keeping her steps around 9-10000 to help increase her calorie deficit.
- We made the programme completely realistic to her lifestyle.
As you can see only 5 weeks in she is smashing it!!
