Well what can we say, what a day, firstly our thoughts, love and well wishes to our number 10 Olivia who unfortunately suffered a serious injury in today’s very first match of the day which required hospital attendance, very sad to see and the team worried for her though they used this to carry on and spirit ahead to the semi final and further more the final which was battled well from either side leaving a 0-0 finish and penalty decider that could have went either way though with Olivia in our thoughts the team
won through becoming today’s Championees though this wasn’t the chosen chant for today and instead singing for Olivia with the trophy planning on being delivered to her bedside asap, well done Blacks 🏆

We’re looking forward to a fantastic month of football tournaments filled with fun, teamwork, development, and plenty of great memories for the players. 💪🏆

The squad have been training brilliantly and are ready to give their all, support each other, and most importantly enjoy their football every step of the way. 👏⚽️

Whites had a big run to the semi finals. Almost

Weekend round up (part 2)

Blacks v Mid-Annandale AFC
8th Feb 2026

Heading over the border and not knowing what to expect…. We have returned home having had a lot of fun, playing some amazing football and all learning from today’s game.

Today we played Mid-Annandale AFC 2016’s and put on a really good showing.

Picking up from yesterday we restarted the game with good ideas and a lot of purpose. It got us on the front foot and led to lots of chances.

We played with heads up and passed the ball well on a smaller pitch.

We were all switched on and ready for challenges (Luca leading the way!!).

And one of the most enjoyable things was the game was played in the best (friendly) spirit.

A change of pace and some relaxed football where the kids can show what they’ve got, it’s much better like this!!

All 8 kids played very well today, switched to a few positions and responded really well to instructions.

MoTM goes to George. An excellent performance up and down the pitch, finding passes, playing 1-2’s, letting his shots go (and nearly breaking the crossbar).

The extended penalty shootout also sets us up well for festival season!

Well done kids for playing so well and parents for the early(ish) start for a Sunday.
