Workington junior Reds U9s 26/27

The ups and downs of football was the best way to describe the reds end of season!.
Across to washington taking part in a u9s comp where we gave it a good go and matched most teams...making our way to our respective final via pens in a quarter final and a great win in a semi final. The final looked certain to go to pens when a freakish last kick own goal meant we unfortunately came away runners up.
A trip to carlisle to compete in another tournament where were built up momentum in the group to head to the top semi finals stage but came away defeated by a good UniSun fc team.
A local friendly against Workington diamonds team came at the right time to build confidence up again and we played fantastically well to come away smiling.
Another trip up to carlisle to take in a sheepmount tournament, this time playing u9s. We had a really solid and impressive group stage and showed how well we've come on as a group. Again coming up against a stronger team in the semi so our day ended there.

Couple of training sessions to go then a short break to give them a break after a busy spell then recharge and attack the u9 WCYL season in September. Not forgetting the maryport and Washington to warm us up!

Our end of season get together part 2 & 3... after our successful trip to Aspatria a few weeks ago we went onto Blaithwaite House to have a go at laser tag in the woods.. great fun in the sun!.
Today we went to Rookin House activity centre to have a go at air rifles and agro cat off roading ....
The target practise hopefully pays off!.

A Sweltering weekend that had so much packed in.. hours in the Theme Park, Kickie Rounders, BBQ's, Singalongs, Swimming, more Kickie Rounders, England winning and some football for our Fab 9.

A fantastic football tournament where everyone gets a chance of silverway, our route took us from the group stages to the East Coast Cup 2, where the game finished in a draw...penalties next and we managed to finish a fabulous weekend with the trophy.... 3 trophies in a row!!! 🏆🏆🏆

Theres so much to say but that'll come in another post but this team of amazing youngsters have came on so much.💪

A brilliant morning of football for the Reds at the Aspatria tournament.
A group with teams weve had good matches against recently we knew we had to work very hard and the lads performed exceptionally. 3 wins and 2 draws meant we finished 2nd in the group. A semifinal v Cockermouth and we were able to get a nice win sending us to the final against bransty.
A complete performance from them all meant we were able to bring home another trophy. Absolutely outstanding all day... defensively... no defeats and only 3 goals conceded ... attacking with confidence and pace we managed to get vital goals and lots scored throughout the team.
Very well done lads.

Onto flamingo land weekend... play as we have been and who knows what might happen.
