🚨Matchday Report🚨
Second game of the season, with a bit of rain thrown in and they again were brilliant! Great teamwork, on and off the ball, fighting for each other off the ball and looking for the each other on the ball, we couldn’t ask anything else of them in that sense.
We started pretty strongly, but found ourselves a goal down early on, but one thing I have learnt about this team is they never let their heads drop! We weren’t behind for long as Alfie 🅰️ got the ball on the right hand side of the box and put a great low cross into the six yard box and there was Jack ⚽️ to volley it home! 🙌🏻.
3 minutes later and we scored our second, this time Charlie 🅰️ on the left put another great cross into the box, it evaded a couple of players, but found Finlay ⚽️ who poked the ball in off the bar! He was pleased with himself as he had told his dad that he was going to score today 😂.
We got our third just before half time, with Finlay 🅰️ battling to get into the box and laying it off for Jack ⚽️, who hit the crossbar with his first effort, but it fell nicely to him to stroke it home with his left foot!
We started the second half like a lightning bolt! A great bit of link up play, a superb one-two inside the box between Jack 🅰️ and Finlay, gave Finlay ⚽️ a chance to shoot and he found the bottom corner with a clinically calm finish 👊🏻🔥.
We allowed the opposition back in the game in the second half, but you could still see strong commitment from the boys and with seconds left of the game, Finlay 🅰️ had the vision to lay the ball to Charlie instead of shooting himself and Charlie ⚽️ calmly controlled the ball and unleashed a thunderbolt into the right hand side of the goal to complete another amazing performance from the boys, missing a couple of players today as well.

Finlay - he’s Mr reliable, one of those players that very rarely dips below 7 out of 10 and today he was in the middle of everything as you can see by his 2 goals and 2 assists, but also his off ball work is brilliant, he gets back and battles for his teammates, his all round game today was top notch! Well done 👏🏻👏🏻
Rhys - has started to play out of goal this season, as Zach has started a love for being a goalkeeper, but Rhys is prepared to sacrifice some of his goalkeeper duties, which he loves to accommodate his teammate and he doesn’t look out of place outfield, calm on the ball and put in some crucial challenges today as well as a solid keeping performance in the first half, well done 👏🏻👏🏻
Honestly some of the football these boys are playing at the moment is a joy to watch, the link up play, the fight off the ball is incredible, long may it continue, they’re making us coaches very proud 👊🏻❤️.
