Like most of us, we like to ride along the seafront when the weather is nice, but did you know the fine sand can be blown into the smallest of places on our bicycles and if left over time can have a damaging effect on vital mechanisms like your gears and/or your bearings. This will lead to grinding, stiffness and even seizing.
This bike has just undergone a service to get it back on the road, all due to tiny grains of sand.
A simple hose down once you return home from your ride will do and a regular weekly clean and a small application of oil for you chain and any moving part will keep you going for longer.
