A tough day at the office today. Last minute changes and injuries didn't help but let's not take anything away from White Bear FC - they played some great football today and gave us a shot of reality about the competition level in this league.

Big thanks to white bear for the game and all the best for the rest of the season, we look forward to the return fixture. Another thank you to the staff at Gwyn Evans Leisure and Activity Centre for their hospitality and above all well done to the lads for putting a shift in today.

Our very first game together and for most of the lads their first time kicking a ball competitively for over 15 years - they did well. This will be a season of development and growth and we are here for the journey

Thanks to all for their support today. We rest, re-charge and go again on the 27th where we travel to Glan Conwy.

The time is almost upon us.......the lads will walk out this Sunday 6th September to kick off their debut season in the North East Wales Football Association vets (NEWFA) league!!

We look forward to welcoming White Bear FC, hoping for a good game and a good catch up and drink afterwards.

As the summer weeks come to an end we have been sent our first couple fixtures for our debut season in the NEWFA vets league.

Looking forward to getting back to playing some football with all the other vets teams. Should be an interesting but enjoyable season ahead.

Anyone who might fancy getting back in the saddle and putting on their boots again please give us a shout, we might have some spaces available for a few players 👍

The lads return from Llandudno tonight after playing an excellent game against Military Minds FC.

What started as a fairly competitive and equal game turned into a slight disaster seeing the lads go down and at one stage, 4:0 down as Military minds used their fast striking power and long ball over the top to full advantage.

The boys didn't panic, started getting the ball down, finding feet and making good use of the space, spraying the ball around and finding spaces to try and close the gap. Some great strikes from Colin, Damo, Aaron and Chris eventually saw the lads take a narrow 6:5 victory.

A great game, played in great spirits and really good to see the lads see out the pressure from their opponents to take their first win. Onwards and upwards we go.

Big thank you to the lads at Military Minds FC for hosting this game at Llandudno football club, hopefully we can book in another game over the next couple of months.

For now the guys get a few weeks to continue working on aspects to their game before our next game against Rainhill Vets FC on 10th May.

Today the lads hit the road down the north Wales coast to take on Military Minds FC in another friendly match.

Hopefully the lads can continue to build on previous performances and put in another good shift.

For those interested the match is being held at Llandudno football club and kick off is at 5:30pm.

Wishing the lads a good game - look after those hamstrings and brittle bones!!

The lads go again this weekend with a trip up the lovely A*5 to play another friendly preparation game but this time playing Military Minds FC at Llandudno Football Club.

Date: Sunday 26th April
Time: 5:30pm KO

Looking forward to another run out and we can put in place some of the learning from the previous couple of games. This will be our 5th game together so lots still to do but the boys are enjoying every minute of it.

That's one more step for man......one giant leap for 'Old B****** Footballers' 👍

Another good run out for the boys today, only our 4th game together and many of the team covering positions they don't usually play due to quite a few players unavailable.

With all that said, we played a Rossett vets team today who were very good - organised, structured and kept us busy all game.

Another game where we take learning from to go back and work on things ready for our next
game. All the lads put a shift in today, working hard until the end.

We are slowly starting to get back into it all and if the boys keep working hard good things will come.

Well done today to Rossett Vets and thank you for your time to play us. Big thanks goes to The Cheshire County Sports Club for having us at their amazing venue - fantastic facilities we really enjoyed it and I'm sure we will be back 👍

Next friendly game is against Military minds FC up in sunny Llandudno on Sunday 26th April.

We travel to The Cheshire County Sports Club tomorrow to play another friendly match against local team Rossett Vets.

Looking forward to playing our 3rd game together. We have a skeleton crew tomorrow but I'm sure the lads who are there will give it their all and enjoy the run out.

For anyone interested, the match will kick off at 2pm on the grass pitches just off Mannings Lane, Chester.
