🔵⚫️ MATCH DAY 5 ⚫️🔵

FINALLY!!!!!

After months of preparation and matches where the results haven't matched to our performances , that elusive first win finally arrives!

A tough game for us having lost a couple of players in the week through injury.

We started bright with a chance early on but it was our opponents who opened the scoring with 2 quick fire goals in the first 5 minutes , catching us off guard.
We rallied and pulled one back straight after.
A very tense and even first half wich ended 2-1 for the visitors.

Second half we came out more positive and started showing a bit more of we are capable of.
Scoring 5 goals in succession.
Still an even game regardless and after some mistakes on our part and good play also from the opponents, they pulled 3 goals back.
Ending the game nervously but we held on and secured the win.

Unfortunately despite the win, 2nd place ( championship play offs ) is no longer a possibility for us due to goal difference! But we fight on for 3rd place and ending the season on a high!

Bad day at the office for us.
A day where we didnt match our performances of previous games.

An even 1st half with the opponents scoring first and us equalizing with a wonder goal from our own box wilst defending a 4 v 3 due to one of our players getting sent off.

1-1 at the break

2nd half carried on the same way, with both teams playing an even game but mistakes costing us in the final stretch.
Thus allowing the opponents to capitalise and score 3 goals.

This defeat means we are still bottom of the Northen section with 2 games left of regular season.
Our chances of qualifying have taken a hit but its still mathematically possible.
