Great night was had by all last night for our under 17s presentation to end a good season with alot of highs and lows but most importantly fun was had by all boys who go out every week and give it their all, playing a game you love with friends is the most important thing, a few weeks break and then the hard work will start for preseason going into under 19s, would like to thank all the boys for all the hard work they have put in and we hope to see you ALL next season. Match Report – Marchwiel U17 1–4 Coedpoeth U17

Coedpoeth produced a superb all-round performance on Sunday afternoon, running out convincing 4–1 winners away at Marchwiel.

Despite trailing 1–0 at half-time, the visitors had been the stronger side throughout the opening 45 minutes, creating the better chances and controlling much of the play. On another day they could easily have gone in level or even ahead, but their response after the break ensured the scoreline finally reflected their dominance.

The breakthrough came early in the second half. Josh reacted quickest in the box to fire home after excellent work down the flank from Harry, who once again stepped off the bench and immediately injected pace and energy.

Moments later, the same combination struck again. A driving run from Harry carved open the Marchwiel defence, and his perfectly weighted pass found Josh, who confidently slotted in his second of the afternoon.

Coedpoeth continued to press, and the third goal arrived through Calum, who marked his first goal for the club with a composed finish following sharp link-up play from Michael.

The visitors were not done yet. Harry, having already produced two assists, capped off a brilliant super-sub showing for the second week in a row by adding a goal of his own, again set up by Michael after another incisive move.

While the goals stole the headlines, there were strong performances all over the pitch. Sam impressed at the back with calm, decisive defending, and Archie, playing at right back, put in a gritty, determined display, winning some crucial tackles and breaking up play whenever Marchwiel tried to push forward.

The standout performer on the day was Jakub, whose composure, work rate and consistency throughout earned him a thoroughly deserved Man of the Match award.

A dominant display, four quality goals and a performance full of teamwork and control. 💛💚
