As you will have seen in the last few days the Government has launched its consultation on how to implement a ban on trail hunting.
There is a large team working in the background on our behalf to combat this.
We will be asked from time to time to do various things to help and the below is one of the first actions we need to take.
Please sign the elobby as directed.
Click here to sign the e-lobby: https://www.countryside-alliance.org/trail-hunting-consultation-2026
It is important that everyone in your household signs up individually. In addition, do please share the link with other friends and family whose first love may not be hunting but are interested in protecting a way of life or other field sports enthusiasts.
The time is now to make your voice heard. If you care about the future for hunting and indeed other rural pursuits, then this is the moment to take action.
We urge you to sign our e-lobby without delay which will take no more than a few moments. The consultation is 12 weeks long, but if we do not act now, others - less informed and less connected to the countryside - will define the outcome for us.
This tool will ensure that a response - with all the key issues addressed - is sent not only to government but also to your local MP. Although the proposed ban on trail hunting only affects England and Wales, all MPs will have a vote. It is therefore vital that, regardless of where you live in the UK, your MP knows your views.
By doing so, you will be adding your voice to a growing, united effort to ensure that any decisions taken are grounded in evidence, fairness and a proper understanding of rural life. When we act together, we will be impossible to ignore.
This is bigger than just this one issue - it is about standing up for our communities, our livelihoods and a way of life that is so important to us all.
A ban on trail hunting is counter to the freedoms and tolerance that is at the heart of Britain. We donโt all hunt or shoot or fish but the rural way of life is to live and let live. That tolerance binds us together as a community.
Take action and respond to the government's consultation on a ban on trail hunting
The government has opened its consultation on how to implement a ban on trail hunting. You can use our e-lobby to quickly and easily respond.
