A chilly early start saw the Juniors make the journey to Bishop Auckland for our second game of the season in Division 10.

With a squad of just 9 players and no substitutes, the boys were determined to show their mettle after a tricky opening game last weekend.

From the first whistle, the Juniors came out with a high-intensity press, creating early chances and getting shots on target. As the game progressed, it turned into a real end-to-end contest, with the Juniors looking particularly dangerous as they attacked down both wings.

Into the second half, the lack of substitutes inevitably began to take its toll and we conceded a few goals. Despite not getting the result we wanted, the boys can hold their heads high. The hard work, determination and desire to compete showed a huge improvement from last weekend.

Today, we had 9 Players of the Match, every single player gave absolutely everything from start to finish. 👏

🧤 Special mention to Jake, once again our unsung hero between the sticks. Bending his body, making crucial saves and keeping the score down when called upon. Outstanding effort! 💪🧤

This award is voted for by the parents and is a reflection of the impact a player has had throughout the season, both in their performances and in the way they represent the team. Luke is a very deserving recipient.

Luke has absolutely bossed the midfield this season. His determination, commitment, and sheer will to win have made him one of the most influential players on the pitch. Every game, he gives everything he has, setting the tone for the team with his relentless energy and fearless approach.

Without doubt one of the toughest players in the squad, Luke's intensity has left many opposition players struggling to cope. Time and time again, he has battled through heavy challenges and tough treatment from opponents, only to pick himself up, dust himself off, and carry on as if nothing had happened.

Some of those challenges would have been enough to stop many players in their tracks, but Luke has always shown incredible resilience and character. In true Luke fashion, he's often responded in the best possible way, by getting back to his feet and producing a moment of quality, including some truly outstanding free kicks.

Beyond the goals and highlights, Luke's leadership, determination, and never-say-die attitude have been an inspiration to his teammates and a joy for parents and supporters to watch throughout the season.

Luke, you have been an absolute pleasure to watch this year. Your goals, performances, and contributions have been some of the very best football we have seen, and this award is thoroughly deserved.

A huge congratulations to Isaac #7, this season's winner of the Players' Player of the Year Award 🏆⚽

This award is especially significant because it was voted for by the team. It represents the highest praise a player can receive from their teammates and shows that they see you not only as a talented footballer but also as someone they can rely on when the game gets tough.

Isaac has been a joy to watch throughout the season. His technical ability, combined with his flair and creativity, makes every performance an exciting one. Every time he laces up his boots, he brings energy, confidence, and quality to the pitch.

Time and time again, Isaac has entertained coaches, parents, and teammates alike with his ability to drive through midfield, beat players, and create goal-scoring opportunities. His vision and skill on the ball have played a huge part in many of the team's best attacking moments this season.

What has made Isaac stand out even more is the effort he puts in when the team doesn't have possession.
