First game of the season for the new under 8’s today away at Bishopthorpe and what a game it was!

End to end stuff, some really good attacking play from Rovers today but just as importantly some excellent defending.

In previous games we’ve sometimes been slow to start however that was not the case today, the boys were on fire from the beginning working together as a team from minute one.

Fantastic individual skill and determination from the boys this morning and every one of them left the pitch with a smile on their face knowing they’d done their best and played well!

🏆 Parents player of the match today went to Jenson 👏👏
Excellent from Jenson this morning, fantastic goals, worked hard for the team setting other players up with chances and defended from the front well.

🏆Coaches player of the match today went to Zach 🫶🏻❤️
It was Zach’s first ever league game today but no one would have noticed, he fitted into the team perfectly. Great battling, crucial tackles made and some great set up play. Keep it going Zach 💪🏻

What a fantastic morning of football - Sun 08/06 ⚽️

Our young stars and our friends from Tadcaster put on an incredible show in a match that had everything – skill, teamwork, and big smiles all around!
It was truly a joy to watch, with both teams playing their hearts out and showing incredible sportsmanship. The game was so well-matched, with end-to-end action and some brilliant goals, making it thoroughly enjoyable for everyone who came to support.

Huge well done to all the players for an entertaining and fun game! You're all winners in our eyes! 🙌
