BREAKING: Christian Atsu has been found alive inside rubble after today's devastating earthquake that rocked Turkey and neighbouring nations. He reportedly has breathing difficulties and an injury to his right foot, and has been transported to hospital.

The report adds that Hatayspor, for whom Ansu plays, are frantically trying to find the whereabouts of others. The club's sporting director, Taner Savut, and a club interpreter are said to still be uncontactable. Several other players were found alive in rubble.

Christian Atsu is reportedly among those trapped under rubble after a huge earthquake hit Turkey.

In 2000, Patrick Mboma won both the African Cup of Nations and an Olympic gold medal with Cameroon.

That same year, he was named African Footballer of the Year, BBC African Footballer of the Year and was nominated for the ballon d'Or, but received no vote.

He won the African Cup of Nations again in 2002, finishing as the competition's top scorer.

Mboma scored a stunning overhead kick against France at the Stade de France in an international friendly in 2000.

At club level, he played for the likes of PSG, Cagliari, Parma, Sunderland, Gamba Osaka and Tokyo Verdy.

He won the Coupe de France with PSG in 1994-95 and the Coppa Italia with Parma in 2001-02.

He finished top scorer at the Coppa Italia in 1999-00 and also emerged Japanese League top scorer in 1997.

Mboma retired from professional football in May 2005.
