Hon. Kojo Bonsu, Ghana's esteemed Ambassador to China, recently led a distinguished team in celebrating Ghana's 69th Independence Day in Beijing. The event was an amalgamation of cultural pride and diplomatic prowess, encapsulating six decades of rich tradition and robust international engagement.

The celebration featured a vibrant showcase of Ghanaian culture through performances of traditional music and dance that resonated with the warmth and hospitality synonymous with the West African nation. Honored guests including Chinese dignitaries, diplomats from various countries, and members of the Ghanaian diaspora joined together to strengthen bilateral ties between Ghana and China—an evolving partnership marked by shared economic ventures and mutual respect.

Under the astute guidance of Hon. Bonsu, this annual observance not only commemorates independence but also underscores ongoing progress and cooperation on developmental projects critical to both nations' futures.

Ghanaians in China troop to the airport to welcome the president and our first lady Her Excellency Madam Lordina Mahama. The president is expected to have strategic investment meetings with Chinese President and the business community in China.

Ambassador Kojo Bonsu is already receiving great support from the Chinese investors in different sectors such as automobile, railways, manufacturing and agro-processing, energy etc.

There is a great anticipation that a portfolio of investment will be established between Ghana and China to drive the vision of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama on 24hr Economy; in which the Chinese government has shown interest to support Ghana towards realising that dream NOW!

Ghana's Ambassador to China, Kojo Bonsu, is methodically orchestrating the diplomatic visit of President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama for a three-day official visit to Beijing starting October 12th, 2025. This high-level summit underscores the robust bilateral relations between Ghana and China, aiming to further deepen economic cooperation and development partnerships.
