Cardi B has been in a $24 million court case with a security guard named Emani Ellis since 2020.
The case started after an incident in 2018 at a medical office in Beverly Hills, California. Cardi thought Ellis was recording her without permission, and things quickly got heated.
Ellis later filed a case against Cardi, accusing her of assault, emotional harm, negligence, and even keeping her against her will.

Ellis also said she needed medical and mental health treatment because of what happened.
Cardi denied all these claims. She said Ellis only wanted money from her.

After more than seven years, Cardi and Ellis finally met in court in August 2025.
Ellis, who was working as a security guard at the clinic in 2018, testified that she had worked there for four years and never had any criminal record. She explained she got the job after fingerprint checks and state approval. Ellis also said she had never assaulted anyone.
She admitted she was fired from the job because of the fight with Cardi, but later became a social worker helping low-income families.

The exact details of what happened that day remain unclear because Cardi and Ellis gave very different stories.

According to Naira Marley, he once discovered that Mohbad had been introduced to a substance known as Ice. He claimed it was his first time hearing of the drug, and that he advised Mohbad against it

Later, Mohbad chose his own manager, Tunde. Naira Marley says he wasn’t upset about this.There were also rumors that Mohbad avoided hospitals, but Marley insisted he had proof showing that Mohbad did, in fact, seek medical treatment on several occasions

Naira Marley also opened up about their business. According to him, their agreement was straightforward — all expenses were transparent, and profits were shared 50–50.
