🚨Abusua: Elephant Allegedly Guarded Dead Ranger’s Body For Three Days In Emotional Scene At Kruger National Park — Report

A deeply emotional story circulating online has captured hearts around the world after claims emerged that an elephant stood beside the body of a deceased ranger for three days inside South Africa’s Kruger National Park.

According to the viral account, veteran ranger Sipho Nkosi reportedly suffered a heart attack while on solo patrol, prompting an urgent search after his vehicle was later found abandoned.

The story claims remote trail cameras later revealed an old bull elephant known to rangers as “Mnumzane” — meaning “Sir” in Zulu — standing beside Sipho’s body and refusing to leave the area.

It is alleged that for three days and nights, the elephant gently touched the ranger with his trunk, chased away scavengers, and even covered parts of the body with branches and leaves.

The emotional account further states that the elephant only stepped away when the recovery team arrived to transport the ranger’s body.

According to the viral narrative, Sipho Nkosi had years earlier rescued the same elephant as a calf after poachers reportedly killed its mother.

One emotional line from the story that has touched many readers states:

“He didn’t come to say goodbye. He came to make sure no one disrespected his brother.”

The touching account has sparked widespread reactions online, with many people describing it as a powerful reminder of the deep emotional intelligence and memory elephants are believed to possess.

🚨Abusua: “Ibrahim Mahama’s Charity Gestures Are Just For Show” — Dr. Ezekiel Agyekum Obeng Claims

Dr. Ezekiel Agyekum Obeng, a member of the NPP Communications Team, has criticized Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama over his widely publicized acts of support for sick and vulnerable individuals.

According to Dr. Obeng, Ibrahim Mahama’s recent gestures — including paying hospital bills and flying some patients abroad for medical treatment — are not driven by genuine compassion but are carefully staged for public attention.

He argued that the businessman’s actions are mainly designed to create positive publicity and shape public perception.

“Ibrahim Mahama's habit of paying medical bills and flying people abroad for treatment is nothing more than a carefully staged PR move,” he reportedly stated.

While many Ghanaians have praised Ibrahim Mahama for helping individuals in difficult situations, especially where public systems have struggled, Dr. Obeng insists the gestures are simply “optics.”

His comments have since sparked heated reactions online, with social media users divided over whether publicized charity should still be appreciated regardless of the motive behind it.

🚨Abusua: Two Jailed, One Fined Over Viral Akyem Oda Cutlass Fight — Court Hands Down Sentences

Three men — George Okyere (43), Evans Adayele (20), and Joseph Nyabaah (26) — have been sentenced following a violent confrontation at the New Station area in Akyem Oda that went viral on social media.

The three convicts were arraigned on two charges: fighting with a weapon and causing harm, contrary to Sections 203 and 69 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

All three pleaded guilty before the court.

Following their plea, Evans Adayele and Joseph Nyabaah were each sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment with hard labour.

George Okyere, on the other hand, was fined 500 penalty units, equivalent to GH₵6,000, and was also ordered to sign a three-year bond of good behaviour.

During court proceedings, George Okyere explained that he had gone to buy a pair of Wellington boots when he was allegedly confronted by the other accused persons, who arrived in a vehicle.

According to him, the situation escalated into violence after he identified himself, leading to the confrontation.

The sentencing has since generated mixed reactions online, with some Ghanaians describing the punishment as fair, while others believe stricter penalties are needed to discourage violent public clashes involving weapons.
