It’s finally here, this Sunday at 1pm (ladies), 2pm (gents) @ Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Stadium

Public Notice: The 6th December 2025 Hockey Match Between GIMPA & UG Has Been Rescheduled To Saturday 20th December,2025 Same Time (2pm).

We welcome you to the Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Stadium coming Saturday 6th December, 2025 at 2pm.

Ball and Stick last event for the year 2025 and we will use this event to launch our program for 2026.

Time is 2pm. There will be both Male and Female matches between these 2 prestigious Universities.

I received a call from the Association that we are speaking against the Ghana Hockey Association by this post. That people are reading meanings into this post.

I wish to state that, we didn’t mention Ghana Hockey Association in the post and we were not targeting any official of the Association.

The post was a clarion call for intense promotion of hockey first, and less focus on the benefits one may derive from it.

Please don’t prejudicially read our post because you hate me. If I hand over to you, the things I do in hockey, you will not find the strength, resources and most importantly the connections to carry on. The things you see us perform 3days or a day, it had taken several months of hard work and sacrifices.

Don’t waste time envying me, use that energy to do what you can to help grow the game we all love…HOCKEY!!!

The typical Ghanaian in hockey is only interested in appointments / opportunities to travel by lobbying through people of influence.

Let’s note this: the farmer that does not cultivate, will not harvest. Your growth as a person is largely dependent on the overall growth of the sport. Make all the investments in growing hockey and hockey will also invest in you.

Let’s be interested in GROWING HOCKEY…GHANA!!!

MAY HOCKEY FESTIVAL 2025-DAY 3

Africa Hockey Federation needs a complete overhaul of leadership.

How many countries are within Africa and how many plays hockey. What policy are in place to increase the number year by year.

What support are those active countries like Ghana, Nigeria etc benefiting to ensure their growth and sustainability.

Euro Hockey has some amazing and fantastic grow the game documents on their website, why is Africa Hockey Federation not considering some of the ideas and at least pilot them on a small scale to see how it will work within the Africa contest.

Africa has no business in reinventing the wheel, we just have to do what is working elsewhere
