MEET OUR SPEAKER | WORLD FOOD DAY 2026

We are pleased to introduce Inmaculada del Pino Alvarez, Food Systems, Food Security and Nutrition Expert with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), where she works with the Right to Food Team.

With over 15 years of international experience, Inmaculada has supported governments, regional institutions, civil society and development partners across Africa, Latin America and globally to advance food security, nutrition, governance and sustainable agrifood systems.

Her work focuses on strengthening policies, governance, accountability and monitoring systems that promote the right to adequate food, improve nutrition outcomes and support inclusive, resilient and evidence-based agrifood systems transformation.

At our World Food Day 2026 Webinar, she will share perspectives on the critical role of the Right to Food in addressing malnutrition and advancing sustainable development through inclusive and nutrition-sensitive agrifood systems transformation.

FIRESIDE CHAT | PARTNERING WITH TRADITIONAL LEADERS FOR SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY IMPACT

At ANFIS 2026, we brought traditional leadership into the conversation on what it takes to create meaningful and lasting change in communities.

The session explored the role of traditional leaders in community development, mobilising communities, strengthening local partnerships and supporting sustainable interventions.

With traditional leadership represented in the room, the conversation offered valuable perspectives on the importance of understanding communities, working through existing structures and building solutions that are relevant to the people they are intended to serve.

Because sustainable community impact is not created by one institution alone. It is built through partnership, trust and collective action.
